Treasure Hunter Posted January 9, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2023 Booked through the casino and got the “free balcony cabin”. Upgraded to a mini ( that was as high as they let me go). It came with no perks except for free play and my deposit turns into onboard credit once onboard. Went on the website to add WiFi. We don’t drink alcohol and saw only two options. One includes drinks, tips and exercise ( don’t make me laugh) and one , is a fortune that includes additional garbage. Am I out of luck. My husband will go nuts. Yes, as @PacnGoNowshared, you can buy the internet as "standalone". We *generally* always do the Princess Plus. We're not *big* drinkers but we enjoy a few drinks while cruising. (To be perfectly honest...we *probably* do not get our money's worth...but we like that the package rolls everything together that we would get anyway.) Have a GREAT cruise! It's been doing that lately for me too. I do see plans now. Just try again later from time to time, and I'm sure you'll be able to add a plan. Rare llarsen Posted January 9, 2023 #6 Share Posted January 9, 2023 We booked Standard this time as we really did not make use of our drink package last time. I went on the App to Medallion Net to purchase a stand alone internet package, and it shows a screen that says Select Number of Devices and "Buy Plan", but I cannot do either. If you email askoceanmedallion@carnival.com they can help you make the purchase over email if you have entered a credit card into the Medallion App. When you email they will need your name, DOB, booking number and the date you are sailing. After doing a couple of cruise with the drink package I've found that it's not for use either. We were drinking just to feel we got our money's worth & the internet was a joke unless you were awake at 3 AM so it would actually work. Most of the time it was almost impossible to use.
