Amsterdam to Rotterdam transportation

Hi - Celebrity has just changed all Apex sailings from/to Amsterdam to Rotterdam. This means everyone coming in early has already booked hotels in Amsterdam. We need to get to the new port in Rotterdam now instead of a quick Uber or walk to the port in Amsterdam. Has anyone flown into Amsterdam and traveled to Rotterdam?  Any suggestions?

You can take one of the frequent trains between Amsterdam and Rotterdam, https://www.ns.nl/

However you need to put your luggage into and from the train yourself. Space is limited. From Rotterdam Centraal either the underground and walk a short distance from the stop toe the terminal. This site gives a lot of information too, https://9292.nl/en

May be Celebrity will offer a shuttle service?

I am not sure maybe Uber works on that distance.

Or else you can contact this company:

It is very easy to take the train from Amsterdam to Rotterdam at least Four times an hour. From Amsterdam Centraal trains are going to Rotterdam Centraal. Here you can take a metro to the Wilhelminapier. It is also easy to take the train from Schiphol AirPort. The train station is underneath the airport. Check the website NS.nl in English

I'm wondering the same thing. Sounds like taxis and ubers are generally a good way to get around... would either of those options be able to transport us from our hotel in Amsterdam to the port in Rotterdam?

https://www.staxi.nl/en/amsterdam-taxi/   choose english as language. We used them twice. Fair price and they do as promised.

How far is the Rotterdam train station from the cruise port?  Is this something we can walk to or need taxi?

7 minutes walking from Cruise Terminal Rotterdam to metro station, 7 minutes metro, 1 minute walk to Rotterdam Centraal Station.

My 85 yo mom and I are going on the Apex in June, planning to stay in Amsterdam a couple of days before.  Have not been to Europe.  Anyone have suggestions for a hotel and also transportation to Rotterdam/pier?  The train would not be my first choice with my mom.
thanks!

Various hotels are names on this site. Check e.d. Banks Mansion, Doubletree at Centraal Station or Movenpick next to the cruise terminal. Use the search function for mote hotels

For transportation if you donot want to take the train get in contact with this private driver: https://www.dagtoertaxi.nl/

Other option is either Uber or a cab from e.g. https://www.staxi.nl/en/

or https://amsterdamtaxicentrale.com/en/

Maybe your cruiseline offers a shuttle?

We will be arriving at Schippel Airport on May 5 and want to stay near the port for our cruise on the 6th. I heard that there is a train or subway from the airport to take us there in about 25 minutes. And when we deboard on May 20th we will need to get to the airport. Any suggestions for us? There will be 6 of us.

Thank you so much!

Check out this site for Dutch Railways.

It's in English.

Hope this helps.

Lots of frequent trains between SCHIPHOL (the correct name!) and Amsterdam Centraal Station.
