Upgraded to a Jewel Class Suite. What should we know?

Today we received notice that our bid to upgrade to a 2 bedroom suite on a Jewel Class ship. We are so excited. We know we do not have access to the Haven, but not sure what perks we do get. Any info or suggestions from previous S4 suite goers. Thank you

Have  a wonderful cruise!  The breakfasts and lunches are often in Moderno or Cagneys on deck 13. They tend to use menus similar to what is provided in Haven restaurants. Breakfasts tend to have a nice fruit, cheese,  cold cut, salmon and capers, with pastries buffet. 
 

It really is quite sweet to be in a suite with Jewel class suite perks even if it’s not the Haven.

I loved having lunch in the "suite / haven" venue when I have sailed in suite or haven on the Jewel class ships!

note that your gratuities do not include the butler and concierge - you will need to tip them separately

Jewel class ships are my favorite.  I upgraded to a Suite just once (old days/precovid) on the Jewel.  It was my first cruise and it was an awesome experience.  My favorite two memories are "shrimp at 4:00" and the Concierge escort for excursions and shows.  Butler and Concierge were fantastic.  

 

On a side note - this is how I know I should probably never stay in the Haven.  The level of service was so over the top I would be permanently spoiled for sure.  So for now I am content with more cruising in balconies vs. less cruising in the Haven.  Enjoy yourself!

May I ask you how far away from your sail date they gave you the good news? We just put a bid in and was wondering about how far out they would let us know. The email said 14 days to 1 day before we sail but the wait is killing us😊😊!

Other than initial boarding, not likely they escort you onboard.

Unpacking not something they will mention but who needs.

Champagne only for OS and higher but even then they'll try to sub a sparking wine.  Never been offered to have anything poured.  Can't bring drinks to room under package by butler.

Free bottles of booze OS and higher.  Same for water and soda.

Snacks usually mid afternoon.  Ask for what you like.  50/50% chance that happens.

7 days out. Had been told I was out bid, but then we received and email saying we won.
