They finally deleted the charge from Le Bistro. From here on out I'm going to verify what I can and can't get, and try to stay between the lines. If there's something that I REALLY want, I'll just get it and bite the bullet. It's not like I haven't already spent a fortune. Miss biceps competition in ten minutes.

Here's the slide, complete with a trip right through people's balcony.

Good to know if I book this ship to avoid those balconies! Otherwise, I like the ultramodern look and since I live about 1.5 hours north of Cape Canaveral may try to jump on before it moves if I can find a deal. Thanks for sharing!

Checking out the menu at Palomar... I'm looking at the prawns and octopus, the dover sole, and the pomme puree and gigante beans. Hopefully I can slip all that past the waiter without additional charges.

I always purchase my flights and hotel far in advance of the cruise which may have been a mistake in this circumstance… Fuel prices were hovering at all time highs due to the war in Ukraine, but I just like to get it booked and out of the way, so… I probably could’ve saved a little bit by waiting, however I like to try and snag the first row behind Delta Comfort Plus, so I just bit the bullet and booked it…

As for the hotel, I went with the Springhill Suites by Marriott… It has good reviews, and will hopefully surpass the hotel I stayed in on my previous visit to Port Canaveral… Last time I was here I stayed at the Radisson Resort at the Port, which turned out to be a not very nice hotel. There wasn’t even a safe in the room, and it stank of cigarettes on top of that. I’m rolling the dice that the Springhill Suites turns out to be a much better experience… Honestly, Port Canaveral is one of my least favorite places to sail from. No great bars or restaurants to visit prior to cruising, but I’ll try to find something decent to do for one afternoon / evening.

For transportation from MCO to the hotel I just went with Cocoa Beach Shuttle, which I’ve used in the past and had decent luck with. I went ahead and pre-paid for transportation from MCO to the hotel on my arrival date, and again from the port to the airport on the date of debarkation.

Sid, I just got hooked up to this. I have been out of it on so many levels. Good to have a Sid Review to read. Have a wonderful time!!!

Quick little breakfast at the Indulge Food Hall. Omelette with cheese croissant and scrambled eggs with hash browns.

Is there still a buffet or has it been replaced by the Indulge Food Hall?

Sid, I will be on the Prima in June in Northern Europe and am thoroughly enjoying this thread....many, many THANKS for a wonderful read!  But if I may ask you, what is that green, sliced in half pepper looking garnish on your steak tartare?!?  I was on NCL Joy last summer and had one as a garnish and I loved it!  My mistake in not asking the waiter what it's called and I've not been able to figure it out since.  Google could not figure out what I was talking about...lol

It's large caper.

Sid-

How do you think the Indulge Food Hall compares to the various food stations on the Virgin Scarlet Lady.  I recall you loved the Scarlet Lady for that food.

Just as good, of not BETTER...

I just got three separate emails from Cruise Critic. Something about reaching the 10,000 club, but I've been over 11,000 posts for awhile now. Maybe they're behind on their accounting.

You are not alone. I also received an e-mail about making the 10,000 club well after I had posted that many. I don't quite remember by how much, but I am sure it was over 11000.

We are cruising out of Port Canaveral May 1st on the Getaway, we are driving from OH.  I am thinking about spending the weekend in St. Augustine and driving the two hours to Canaveral on cruise day,

Thanks, just showed this to DW who retired last year after a long career as an elementary art teacher, though she is not as good as me at doing nothing and seems to be finding other art employment opportunities.

Loving all these pictures! Fantastic. Thank you.  We are sailing Iceland on the Prima this summer, so I don't think we are going to have to worry about any chair hogs.

We will also be in Iceland this summer on the Prima. And I guarantee you that my DW will be in the pool as long as it is not closed.

We once had a cruise that took 2 extra days to get back to Fort Lauderdale because of a hurricane. One morning during those 2 days she was in the pool despite the waves were as if it was the ocean. She of course was the only one in. And in the afternoon, they drained the pool to close it.

All right, all right, all right...

If it's all right with you should you pass by a store selling liquor in Cozumel would you check on the price for the Don Julio tequilas? Here in Washington state Anejo is $76.99 750ml & $129 for the 1.75ml.

Reposado is $68.99 for the 750ml.

I was thinking about driving 13 hours to the California border where is is much less expensive but I have some friends who will be in Cozumel next month and offered to bring a few bottles home.

Just wanted to compare the price you might find it at and the price in California to see if its worth asking them to look for it while in port.

Thanks in advance.

Looking at the new freestyle daily, and they're showing us in Cozumel from 7:00 - 2:30... My driver is supposed to pick me up at 10:00, so that only gives me 4 1/2 hours on the island... Wayyy too little for my favorite place... The original itinerary shows 3:00, which is still too short... I'm not liking this at all.
