I just booked a B2B with a free cruise casino promotion. Do I get the OBC on the free cruise also, or just on the cruise that I paid for? One rep on the phone said I will but my booking was finalized by another rep and no OBC amount was on my booking sheet. Just curious. Thanks. J

How did you obtain this OBC, simply part of the offer when you booked the paid sailing or (this is all I can think of) part of the stock holder benefit?

Fully comped sailings aren’t eligible for the stock holder OBC

I recently had success with the reverse switching from West coast to East coast. I looked up what cruises I had interest in and had plenty of available rooms left then called and simply asked would those cruises qualify for the offer. After a brief hold I was told yes, selected the one I wanted most, picked my room and the booking was made. I echo what others have said in it all depends on who you get and the availability of the sailing at the time you inquire. Good luck!

Fivelinks,

Do you have a phone number for BCC?

We have a pending offer from BCC. However, due to a pending medical procedure cannot take advantage of the offer in the time frame offered. Just wanted to reach out to BCC to see if any options available.

Thank you in advance for your help!

They’re fundamentally different, on RCI you get free room offers based on your current sailing play as you generally receive a free room offer on the last night.  That offer has a code and you have months for the offer to expire

X seems decades behind, you don’t receive your tier points until a few days after the sailing ends for table games.  That means you cannot utilize your current sailings play to book a BCC sailing with Future cruises

We always receive offers left in our room on RCI plus they continue to load new offers weekly on their website, sends emails weekly plus a postcard. I have about eight offers sitting on the website right now. It’s amazing how different the two cruise lines operate.

The offer we received for "free veranda" was not due to casino play as I spend maybe $20/cruise and DH only plays poker so does not earn many points.  I had to see the invoice for $1/passenger plus the port fees and taxes before I could believe we were getting a week cruise for that price.  No requirement for casino play either.

My fully comped Blue Chip cruise qualified for the stock credit. Perhaps since I paid a little more to upgrade to an Aqua Class stateroom it slipped by!

You're very, very lucky! There was a thread on this subject last year that the policies have changed so I went ahead and submitted three casino comped cruises on Celebrity and all three were denied shareholder benefits.

I don’t have RCL stock unfortunately, only CCL. The cruise I paid for had OBC of $250. The 1st rep said I would also get the OBC but it didn’t show up on my booking sheet. I’ll call Blue Chip Club on Monday. Just curious. Thanks.

So you're saying you booked a fully comped cabin offered by BCC that included OBC but not Freeplay? That's highly unusual.

Yes, sounds like there's a loophole by paying for the AQ upgrade means it's not "fully comped" therefore may qualify or someone just approved it not realizing it was a comped sailing

Sounds to me like it's a mis-understanding, please keep us in the loop

Has anyone received a Blue Chip complimentary cruise with the drink package included? I have only received offers for cruise only for aqua class or 60% off a Sky Suite.

Some have.  It all depends on your level of gambling in the casino.  Just because some got it does not mean you will.

Yes. When we board the Solstice this Saturday my husband's BCC comped cabin is a Conceige class with all included. On the other hand my comped cabin is just a veranda, no extras. He's the gambler and I'm not, so I was one of the lucky ones to receive a BCC offer but without really gambling any more than $20-$60 total on any cruise.

Just bought a 100 shares!  I don't invest in individual stocks so once the OBC gets approved/disapproved will be immediately selling

I just talked the BCC. Free cruise does not get promotional OBC. They cannot combine promotions. Sounds right. The confusion was that the first BCC rep I spoke to said I did get it. Glad I ran this by Cruise Critic board. Happy travels, folks! Thanks for your help.

Thanks for following up...Not the first time the BCC has been wrong and unfortunately won't be the last

Bought the stock during the pandemic, applied and was denied.  The restart happened, bought the stock again, applied and denied.  There was a whole thread about it.  Guessing whomever reviews these (computer or human) automatically denies it if the fare amount is $0 but hopefully they approve it if it's more than $0 (CC/AQ is $10-$20/night)

Right after the restart there was a trick where you could apply both Capt Club benefits and MGM Rewards which had a $200 OBC.  It was reported on here, then the next day someone reported they tried to add the MGM benefits and the rep said a policy letter just went out saying you can no longer double dip

Wow, I guess I am lucky. But again, I did pay a little bit more to have an Aqua cabin instead of the Veranda.  So, for $418, I ended up with $100 Stock credit.  Also transferred some Royal Rewards from Credit Card for another $250 shipboard credit.  🙂

Wow, that’s great. I’m close to hitting Sapphire which apparently includes the classic drink package. Enjoy your cruise this Saturday and good luck!

Just got another BCC email for a free veranda and this time it was sent to me not my wife. Unfortunately it was only for the Solstice sailings to the Mexican Riviera. Still waiting for more offers for sailings from Florida. Getting to Florida is enough of a trip, not looking to travel to California.
