AB parking is the official car park at Southampton port. It is right alongside the ship. You could practically throw your suitcase from the car to your balcony! Secure and highly rated.
 

I think you must be looking at a different car park review?

AB parking has been great every time we've used it. Open air parking is right next to the ship. The porters take your bag out of your boot and you don't see it again until its in the cabin. 

Last May we had a very late booking on Celebrity and never got our online tags. The porter was very helpful,  he disappeared for a minute to talk to his boss and got some tags for us. No problems

We always use AB Parking and never had a problem until our last cruise in May 2022.

Just after we had unloaded the cases, from our car, there was very heavy down pour of rain. The porters were great they quickly got most of our cases in their van before they got wet. Unfortunately the rain managed to ruin the luggage tag on my case. The case made it on to the ship but not to my cabin. I had to collect it up at Guest Services.
