Question About Discovery Cabins

We are on Discovery Princess at the end of summer.  We have never sailed Princess before, only Royal.  I picked a balcony C125.  Recently I read that someone was in maybe E125 and their cabin and balcony smelled of smoke really bad.  I guess the crew quarters are on forward and they said that was where the smoke was coming from.  My question:  has anyone here stayed close or in C125?  My husband has breathing problems and that kind of situation could make him very ill.  Am I worrying needlessly?

There is no smoking area anywhere near either E125, and especially not C125, several decks up.

The nearest smoking area is far aft on Promenade deck, starboard side.. not forward, or midship. That's 3 decks down, ie Caribe is deck 10, Promenade is deck 7, and far aft of C125.

Crew smoking area is aft, not near any passenger areas, deck 5/6...

When Discovery was brought into service last year, crew were required to quarantine when they boarded, and would do so in guest cabins.  These crew were allowed to smoke on balconies, because they couldn't leave their cabins for anywhere from 5 to 10 to 14 days, depending on which country they joined from.  Maybe some of that smoke drifted into the cabin?  Probably all gone by now.

We sailed on Grand and Majestic in 2021 and 2022 multiple times and Discovery last year, maiden voyage, and there was indeed smoking on the balconies which we observed.  We reported the first on the Grand back in October of 2021, and was told by guest service they are crew, and why they are allowed to smoke as they are quarantined.  Which we completely understood. Guest services also let us know if it was bothersome, they could move us. But, it wasn't a big deal to us.

We was on the Discovery The end of Aug. We are usually almost as far forward as you can go. I never smelled any smoke the whole time onboard, I am an ex-smoker so I am really sensitive to the smell.

Out of curiosity, where are all the smoking areas on the Discovery? I'm not a smoker at all, but I would like to know what areas to avoid because I also hate the smell.

Edit to add: Does any of the smoke from the cigar room and the casino waft into any of the other indoor public areas? The Take 5 bar/lounge looks like a cool place to hang out, but it's sandwiched between the two. Does it smell like smoke in that area?

I thought that the aft crew smoking areas are now a thing of the past. They were able to smoke on the promenade deck (aft when the start up began and now can smoke in their regular forward crew area.

The only passenger smoking areas I recall is up on sun deck, all the way aft, on the terrace above the wakeview pool, and on Promenade deck 7, starboard side near the Vista Lounge.  I don't recall any other permitted areas.  As for crew smoking areas, probably somewhere on the bow but wind and atmospheric conditions would have to be just right to get a noticeable smell to the first few rooms on decks 8 and 9.

If I recall, Take 5 has doors between it and the casino which open and then close automatically.
