Refund of HIA Dining Credit when cancelling?

Hi, First time cruiser here 🙂 We have the HIA package and I prebooked the Pinnacle Grill one night using our Specialty dining credit. I would like to cancel that booking and change to another night but want to be sure that the Dining credit will be refunded to me.

When I clicked on the "Cancel Dining" in my itinerary on the website it indicated that I would receive $0.00 credit ( which makes sense as I didn't pay anything ) however it doesn't say that my credit will be refunded?

So I thought I'd asked more experienced cruisers if I will get my credit back by cancelling online... or will I have to call them? ( I'm in Australia)

Call HAL Australia and ask. 1300 987322

When I changed dates on mine last October I cancelled the reservation and the HIA dining credit was immediately restored on the home page of your booking.  The same worked for excursion credits.  I then could reserve the new dining date.



There is no currency value to return since there was no currency transfer in the first place. Kind of like you specifying the bed arrangement’ (together or separated).

The credit will be restored shortly after cancellation.

I have been trying to book using the shore excursion credit (there is another thread about it here). I booked and canceled several times. In each case the credit was restored immediately.

And when HAL cancelled a tour, not me, the shorex credit came back to my account right away.
