qa4ever Posted April 16, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 16, 2023 Wondering what options there are for lunch and/or snacks on cocoa cay day?
GEORGIEGIRL Posted April 16, 2023 #2 Share Posted April 16, 2023 Not exactly sure what all is considered "gluten free". You can expect typical picnic/BBQ food. Such as Hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries, some type of chicken dish, various salads, fruits, deserts, etc..) You may be able to get with the head chef or your Matre D in the dining room ahead of time and ask them to provide some "gluten free" items if possible. mjkacmom Posted April 16, 2023 #3 Share Posted April 16, 2023 If you are gluten free you will most likely be in touch with a dietary manager to pre-order meals and told what is safe to eat on the buffet. I’d be shocked if there was nothing gluten free. Two of my daughters are celiac, and there was only one time my daughter had nothing to eat in a social situation (sweet 16 party, literally everything had gluten, not even a potato chip to be found). She went straight from work and was starving.
smokeybandit Posted April 16, 2023 #4 Share Posted April 16, 2023 You can get a gluten free bun at the restaurants and there are corn tacos at the buffet
Rare lv2cruisgrl Posted April 16, 2023 #5 Share Posted April 16, 2023 We were on Coco Cay last year and my daughter is celiac. She did eat lunch there but I don't remember what she had. She just asked the people working at the food area what was gluten free and they told her. She had no issue.

FamilyCruiserUK Posted September 12 #9 Share Posted September 12 As others have said go see one of the chefs or helpers walking around. My mum.a celiac went and asked. They took her around and explained what was gf, gave her a gf roll as well and some packs of gf cookies. They helped her to the table..very well looked after. On Oasis in the buffet she had her own private chef He was responsible for cooking dietary meals ect she would just say anything except fish, surprise me. He was fantastic and she had fresh cooked meals, stir frys, etc. By far best service she has had on any ship and company she has cruised on.
