Oh, that brings up a question.  If this happened at sea, how would you contact anyone to let them know?  The more I thought of that the more I kept coming back to ..I would post something here and hope my fellow passengers who were following along would call someone for us.

How were you able to get back into your room?

Usually someone around your side of the ship is on the balcony or has the doors open. Otherwise it’d take about half a day until the cabin steward is back for his last day of work. 😆

I’m puzzled about tomorrow as it shows on the planner Colon with excursions for Panama City and Panama Canal/Locks. Are we passing the locks tomorrow morning and then dock somewhere?

no, tomorrow is a port day in Colon.  We go through the locks and the canal and into the pacific the day after.

If I remember correctly we will be approaching the locks around 0530-0600 on Wednesday morning and should complete the transit about six and a half hours later. All depends on traffic in the canal.

Another reason for Celebrity NOT to reduce housekeeping to once a day!

This schedule is what threw me off:

Well that was a first!

My wife and I were relaxing on our balcony and our stateroom attendant finished cleaning the room and stepped out to make sure we did not need anything.  We assured him that everything was great. He left and we continued to talk to each other.

My wife got up to get something from the room only to find the balcony door locked. Apparently out stateroom attendant had locked it from force of habit when he closed the door after speaking to us.

Fortunately we are on the starboard side and I was able to shout and get the attention of a crew member on the dock who contacted our stateroom attendant.  A very embarrassed young man came and let us back into the room!

We had that happen to us on the Millennium on our April 8th cruise.  I think the room stewards have been told to automatically lock the door.  They just sometimes forget that we are out there.

I can see that.  Ours had just talked with us.  Pretty much a muscle memory thing was my thought.

Do you happen to know if the California roll is real crab or imitation? I’m gluten free so can’t eat much from the menu, but can eat that if it’s real crab.

No, I do not know for sure.  I will try and remember to ask the next time we are there.

Are they going to stamp passports today in Panama or is that simply a legal requirement to keep carrying them around. It would make for a nice souvenir.

They have never stamped ours here.  Just checked to make sure we have them.

We do not even recall seeing a place where you vould get yours stamped.

Good morning.  I will be very interested in your posts for tomorrow during the canal transit.  When you get your issue of Celebrity Today later tonight, would you mind photographing any information about the schedule for that day, etc?  Thank you.

I hope you get your helipad invite for tomorrow!

Speaking of caviar, this was my breakfast omelet from room service on the previous cruise - the Fresh Egg Omelet with Smoked Salmon and Caviar. It was amazing!

We went a different route and got Affogato’s, with a shot of Bailey’s, from Cafe al Bacio for our post lunch dessert.

I have been thinking about this for a couple of days now but keep forgetting to comment on it.

The men who are reading this and have sailed on S-class ships may agree or now but I miss the riddles, quizzes, and quotes that are posted above the urinals in the public men’s restrooms on the S-class ships.  I use to make a point of visiting as many as I could find just to read the ‘writing on the walls.’

I also miss the automatic door open and close buttons for the restroom doors.

I hope my husband do not see this and get any ideas for bathroom decoration at home. I need him to concentrate on keeping the area clean, and finish the business fast to make the facility available to others.
