fstuff1 Posted April 26, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2023 (edited) CasNext is now advertised on the Daily so hopefully all casino hosts knows about it now. I just saw the advert. Will ask the (sole) casino host on my cruise when she comes on duty. 😮 But Heard the restrictions are: 1) Good for 1 year 2) Can only be used for CAS originated cruises ie: Not free land casino certificate cruises Edited April 26, 2023 by fstuff1

Sand and Seas Posted April 26, 2023 #3 Share Posted April 26, 2023 The Joy has issued a couple of Casino Next certificates. I would like to hear from anyone who has had a chance to book with the new certificates.

We ain't never getting nothing from the casino. 2

Rare smillerholmes Posted April 28, 2023 #16 Share Posted April 28, 2023 I asked for an actual document, I was told none was available. This is the information I got from the Executive Host on the Sun: 1. Once you accumulate 5K/10k points you will be offered a choice for redemption. a. Use points to reduce part of gambling debt/charges (same as before) b. Receive CasNext for $250/$500 to be used with 1 year. I could not get a straight answer on book by vs. sail by. c. Have points roll over (same as before) CasNext is not combinable with CruiseFirst or CruiseNext. Certificates are not transferable. Must be redeemed via CAS department. I can't give first hand experience since I have multiple CruiseNext and CruiseFirst certs to be used. Hopefully someone will be able to chime in.

Pre-pandemic, 10%-25% of the adult passengers on cruises were sailing as guests of the casino (and more if the ship was hosting a tournament). It could be direct comp/discount from NCL, discounts from land based casinos (e.g., CET), or free cruise certificates from land based casinos. Post-pandemic, the numbers are all over the place. A couple of weeks ago, there were only 350ish casino guests on the cruise (~7%).

I won a slot jackpot, so ended up very much in the positive between the two of us (and made up for his losses). I got offers for a free cruise for specific itineraries, he got an offer for any 7-11 night cruise. I think they were able to combine both of our play for the cruise we ended up booking. It never hurts to call and ask if there is at least a discount available. Edited April 30, 2023 by aynt79
hachtely Posted April 18 #23 Share Posted April 18 I just got a CasNext March 23, 2024….there is no expiration date on it. I had previously gotten one and it said it had to be used within a year of being issued….I’m thinking maybe they have eliminated the expiration period (the way they did with CruiseNext). Unlike CruiseNext, CasNext are not transferable You CAN use 2 CasNexts for 1 stateroom during DoubleUp promotions. The Certificate says CasNext cannot be combined with Cruise First Certificates The Certificate “says” it can’t be combined with CruiseNexts either BUT when I got the Certificate both the casino host and the Future Cruise Director told me that during DoubleUp promotions, it CAN. I haven’t tried to use this CasNext yet….

My certificates still show the Terms & Conditions that say you must book & complete sailing within one year. I would love if they do not expire, but I haven't seen anything that would suggest such a change. My certificates also say you can use two if it meets criteria for DoubleUp, and three if it meets criteria during a TripleUp promo. It specifically says you can't use with CruiseNext. Again, it would be great if T&Cs are changing for CASNext, but I wasn't told anything different.

Since the beginning of the CASNext program, I have received seven of them and I'll confirm that you do have to book and sail within 12 months.
