scottraveller Posted April 30, 2023 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2023 Is there any system where you can allow kids to have a daily spend limit on their seapass card. I’d like to put say $25 spend limit per day on their cards so we can control their spending. This is more for the arcade which they’re looking forward to going to. We’re on Explorer

We’re on Explorer I don't think there is but hopefully someone else will chip in. You could buy arcade credit separately before the cruise in the planner at a discount but that wouldn't be limited to a certain amount per day. Rare S.A.M.J.R. Posted April 30, 2023 #5 Share Posted April 30, 2023 The last time I had read about this (many years ago, so it might have changed), you can go to GS and put charging limits on individual cards BUT, that did not apply to arcade charges. scottraveller Posted April 30, 2023 Author #6 Share Posted April 30, 2023 Ok thanks. In retrospect I guess it might be difficult with RCI’s IT system but I’ll pop in to guest services on board and see if it can be done
Rare HappyTexan44 Posted April 30, 2023 #7 Share Posted April 30, 2023 One warning I read about. (So not from personal experience) If you swipe your card on a machine in the arcade, and it is down, you are still charged. So, pay attention to those and get refunds. smokeybandit Posted April 30, 2023 #8 Share Posted April 30, 2023 RC arcades are junk anyway. Not worth getting arcade credits for a couple reasons
Jt4428 Posted April 30, 2023 #9 Share Posted April 30, 2023 I thought that you able to limit your children's spending, but maybe that has changed.
SG65CB Posted April 30, 2023 #10 Share Posted April 30, 2023 (edited) When my son was younger we were able to put an arcade daily spending limit on his card at guest services. Can you still do it? I don't know. But it was specifically an arcade limit. Edit: current FAQ FWIW - arcade spending limit is automatically $50 per day but you can adjust it up or down: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/can-limits-be-placed-on-arcade-spending Edited April 30, 2023 by SG65CB
