CTKaren Posted May 9, 2023 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2023 This is the first time being on a Royal Caribbean cruise that does not have freestyle machines. Instead of getting the soda package I think I might buy by the drink. Question...if purchased this way do we get soda cans? I would prefer this over glasses as we like to bring them up to the cabin. firefly333 Posted May 9, 2023 #2 Share Posted May 9, 2023 Just ask for a can to be sure. I've asked a few times and gotten a glass if I didnt say, I want a can of coke.
HicksRA Posted May 9, 2023 #3 Share Posted May 9, 2023 Just tell them you want it in a can - not from the gun.

sjinnj Posted May 10, 2023 #5 Share Posted May 10, 2023 We are on Liberty this summer and didn't know they didn't have Freestyle machines. Does that mean you have to go to the bars to get all your sodas?

Mum2Mercury Posted May 10, 2023 #7 Share Posted May 10, 2023 If you drive to your port, you have the option of bringing sodas onboard. It's not much trouble and can save a good bit of money.
Rare HappyTexan44 Posted May 10, 2023 #8 Share Posted May 10, 2023 Are you allowed cans with the soda package? I thought it was gun only.

If you're flying, you just need to arrange a stop or delivery between the airport and pier.

If you are purchasing individually you get cans. With the package it’s pretty much from a gun.
Rare HappyTexan44 Posted May 10, 2023 #11 Share Posted May 10, 2023 (edited) That is what I thought. If it was cans, particularly on ships that don't have freestyle, I'd happily get the soda package for everyone. The selection on guns is slim.
