Odyssey--Smoking area on Deck 5 which side in 2023?

Ahoy!

On Odyssey of the Seas, is the Deck 5 smoking area currently on Port or Starboard side (or both)?

 

I'm considering the Single Balcony cabins on 6 and 7 and they appear to be right above smoking area deck space.

It's on the starboard side, but quite a distance from the studio cabins.  If you go to the website cruisedeckplans dot com, you can use the cabin checker tool (free) to see what is above and below your cabin.

when you get to cruisedeckplans site, click on your ship, then click on what deck you're thining about.  Scroll down and you'll see 'cabin guru'.  That will open a new window and you can click on a deck, then any room and it will show what is above and below that room.

Thank you!  I'm a big fan of CruiseDeckPlans.com and use it extensively.

What concerned me there was:

A/ a recent photo/review of 6250 which is captioned "right above smoking area"

B/ an earlier pic from Deck 5 showing smoking section closer to midship

C/ a high res exterior pic that appears to show a square deck area just forward of the lifeboats

 

Thoughts?

Don't worry about it. You could be right above it and have more smoke from some customer next door.

For anyone checking on this topic:

In another thread, I found a posting from 3/23, stating Deck 5 smoking area is currently on Port side, just forward of Giovanni's restaurant.  🙂

On Odyssey smoking is on the port side.  

 

Other Quantum class ships use starboard.  Odyssey has always been port side.

I was aboard recently.  It is port side.

oops!  And I've sailed on Odyssey, but I'm not a smoker.  I was going by the deck plan.

I hadn't clicked on that room but when you mentioned the number, I see it now.   Yes, it does look to be over the smoking area. I think the bigger issue for me, would be the potential for noise from people using that area, especially late at night, laughing, talking, etc.

Indeed, late night noise is more of a concern than smoke.

On CruiseDeckPlans.com that photo from the (alleged) starboard side smoking section mislead me.

Did you ever sail and find out which side it actually is on Odyssey? My room looks to be right above it (6246)
