Bask Posted May 25, 2023 #1 Share Posted May 25, 2023 Hello: Can Retreat guests randomly show up to dine at Tuscan, Cosmopolitan, Normandie etc...like Luminae or is a prior reservation or notice required? If advance notice/res required, what is the process? Thanks very much.

Rare cruisestitch Posted May 27, 2023 #4 Share Posted May 27, 2023 Because you don’t have an MDR table assignment m hmmmmmm it is always best to coordinate this with the Luminae staff who can Find out when and where the MDR can fit you in

piemom9397 Posted May 27, 2023 #6 Share Posted May 27, 2023 DH and I went to Luminae maybe twice and then Normandy and Cosmopolitan the remaining four nights and had no problem at all. Never waited to be sat but we went between 7:00 and 7:30. We didn't coordinate with anyone that we'd be dining in one of the MDRs.
WestLakeGirl Posted May 28, 2023 #7 Share Posted May 28, 2023 When was this? How full was the ship? Back when the ships were carrying less than full capacity there were fewer problems with possible overcrowding. The issue with just showing up at the main dining room is that they can’t balance the load by sending someone from there into luminae to take your place. and if yiu have been sitting at the same table in Luminae but don’t show up, they don’t know if you are just running late or aren’t coming at all. So it’s always a good idea to keep them informed
Royal_Cruise_Bear Posted May 28, 2023 #8 Share Posted May 28, 2023 On our last Beyond Tour (~2500 Pax) we went to Raw on 5, Fine Cut, Eden, Luminae, Luminae, Blue, Fine Cut and Cyprus. We had reservations for the speciality Restaurants (pre Cruise offerings), but not for the others. We never had any problems by just stepping in. If your ship is fully booked or if your time is just the peak time of all others, your Butler or Retreat concierge will be happy to assist. 😉
