Yes, they don't have a way to scan them from your Apple wallet onboard. The QR codes and such are completely useless to them. They manually enter the card numbers into their system and then have you sign the paper copy, so you need a paper copy and for them to print it at guest services is a HUGE pain in the a**. They need you to forward the email to the guest services rep, they have to print the email from one computer and then take the print out over to another computer to enter the codes.

Yes, guest services needs a paper copy for their accounting/records. If you are able you can email to guest services on board and they can print .

I have been trying to buy Princess gift cards all morning. I keep getting technical difficulties no matter what CC I use.

You should *ALWAYS* take a printed copy with you if you plan on trying to redeem it/them at guest services.  They will require a printed copy for them to keep. Personally, I would play it safe and take 2 copies along so that I have "proof" after the fact that I *had* a gift card to use.

have been using ARRP gift cards on Princess for many years  showing them in my apple wallet giving them number and pin and NEVER HAD A ISSUE just saying

And here it is close to the end of the month and I'm not seeing the GCs for Princess now. Can see all the other usual suspects, Carnival, RCL, Holland, etc. but no Princess.

 

Tried logging out, clearing all cookies and site data, logging back in and still no joy.

 

I wonder if there's a monthly limit to how many GCs they can sell?

You are correct. I don't see them either.

I don't need any right now, but planned to purchase more in October. I hope it is just a monthly limit or a glitch or something.... 🤷‍♀️

Possibly.  Don’t show any available either.

Try after the 1st of October.  This happens periodically and I don’t remember if it’s related to the end of the month, or not.

The other day I still saw the $100's (no $500) but they were marked as sold out.

Just tried to buy some for September and there are no Princess cards available to buy - does not even show up on the search (even a sold out would make more sense).   Will try 10/1, but this messes me up for final payment as I wait for the credit card cycle, which is on the 29th of every month.  Can't do that anymore...    I do see other cruise lines, so I am in the right place.

I bought a few $500's and a few $100's on the 24th. They we certainly available then and expect they may have sold out their "allotment" since then.
