So, booked on the Reflection in a Sunset Veranda suite for 12/23. I was offered the Moveup bid program and won the bid for a Royal Suite. I had already paid for an upgrade for Premium WiFi and Drinks (the reservation included Basic).  I called yesterday to confirm and they agreed that it comes even with Moveup and refunded me the upgrade for both.

Having ready all of the posts with so many conflicting posts I called again just now and it was confirmed again that they will be included in my reservation. Obviously I will not have to hope that both people as well as their supervisor from today are correct. I can log in again after the cruise to confirm.

you will get back your money as a credit on your account if paid.  The concierge will okay once on board.

Now back from the cruise, I can confirm that through MoveUp to Royal Suite from Sunset Veranda that I received Premium Wifi for 4 Devices, Premium Beverage (they refunded my purchase of WiFi and Classic to Premium Beverage), access to all Specialty Dining for Free and no gratuities (beyond the extra I gave since they paid them of course), access to Luminae, etc etc

This confirms that the Premium Beverage package is still a room amenity of upper suites, which is often asked. Thanks.

How did you like the Royal Suite?
We will be boarding the Reflection in February.  Also in a Royal Suite.

We were in a Royal Suite on the Equinox last year and are in one this year on the Sillouette. It will completely spoil you. Lots and lots of room, 1 1/2 baths, huge balcony, plus the service is over the top. Two liters of your favorite spirit on the counter, refrigerator filled daily with your favorite beers, premium waters and sodas. Dining at Luminae, plus the Retreat Sundeck are fantastic. The Sillouette’s is redone, so I’m looking forward to seeing that. Plus you can eat at any or all of the specialty restaurants anytime you want. It’s a great experience. If you have any other questions, just let me know.

Happy sailing.

Just won a Sky Suite to Edge Villa Move Up. A Shoreside Retreat Concierge refunded $600 in OBC I'd prepaid for specialty dining and rebooked as complimentary. Several emails showing cancellations arrived before that. I was freaking out! Looks fine and they indicated I'd receive a call next week.

Exactly like FrenchKona described... Pretty amazing experience. Only thing not the same on the Reflection is the separate Retreat Sundeck. Other than that, very very nice. Would have spent more time in Michael's Club (The retreat bar) if I went back, If you do, give a warm hello to Daniel and Brian the bartenders, they are awesome

Thanks for your in depth story.  Can you confirm that you did receive a refund for your already upgraded Wi-Fi and beverage packages and your pre-purchased specialty dining in the RS upgrade?  I think this is important as the refund can be taken into account in coming up with an amount for the potential bid.

I hope you had a good cruise.

Catherine

yes all refunded thru shoreside concierge - sorry i didn't see this earlier

3 weeks ago we were successful in a moveup bid from Concierge Class to a Royal Suite for a sailing one week from today! This will be our first suite experience ever on any cruise line.

So far, we've heard nothing from anyone regarding the perks or benefits that come with the RS.  Is there a way for us to email the shoreside concierge or do we keep waiting?  From reading this thread it seems like we should have heard from them by the 1 week mark.

Congratulations!!! My wife and I did the exact same thing last week and it was amazing!

We never did get an email so I called the 877 retreat line and inquired if I would get an email but they jsut took down the information from a form they read aloud to me. They asked about pillow preferences, canapes, what two liquors and any other beverages we wanted consistently stocked. Asked about dinner reservations etc etc..

We did get Premium Wifi and Premium Beverage package that came with the RS (they refunded us they money we paid to upgrade those we paid for prior to sailing). Also rcvd daily extra canapes, two bottles of wine and champagne and we had them bring us dinner in the Suite for Christmas.

Was an excellent experience and will definitely upgrade again and spend quite a bit of time in the Lounge/Michaels as it was small, intimate and with great people

And the accepted bid was less than you would have paid had you reserved a Royal Suite from the beginning?

I wish they'd get everyone on the same page.  I was told, yesterday, for my Edge Villa move up that I had to keep my upgrade to Premium in order to use it anywhere other than the Retreat Lounge.  ???

Update on the above: we just weren't patient enough.  An email from the shoreside concierge was received this morning, 3 days prior to sailing.

Millennium. How was it? Did you get all “amenities “? I have read so many conflicting information on here. I wish to make the most of everything offered

This was their year in a row we did Royal suite . First we were escorted to our suite , vip all the way . You get free specialty restaurants, we did Tuscan twice , Le Petit Chef twice and sushi 3 times for lunch all totally free. They will give you two liters of liquor of your choice, we picked Hennessy cognac and Glenlivet scotch, since we do our drinking in the many bars we brought the liquor home with us. They also will give you a bottle of champagne, which you could trade for something else if you don’t like champagne. They will stock your fridge daily, you can just tell them what water, soda and beer you like. Suite is really nice with a large balcony that has a hot tub, bathroom has shower and a jacuzzi tub . Concierge or butler can help with anything. No problem getting doubles for your drinks in suite lounge , they didn’t have decoy in lounge and made sure they had it on second visit.
