Taxi Fare

Does anyone know the taxi fare from Mahogany Bay cruise port to West Bay?

How many passengers?  IFRC over the hill taxis are around $20 for 1 passenger, $25 for 2 and $10 for each additional.  That's one way.  I beleive the taxis inside the port are somewhat more but not sure exactly.

I wouldn’t rely on being able to get a taxi back unless things have changed.

just as a note,  if you have 4 people its really cheaper to hire a driver for the day,  like through Victor bodden then hire a taxi both ways...

I agree but not everyone has a group. It shouldn’t be necessary.

I recommend to get a day pass with transportation included.  

 

Taxi on the island are not regulater and I have head some horror stories about random taxi.

You don't have to be a group of 4 or more to use most transportation services.  There will most likely be others at your port doing same or similar tours and they will put you in a van together.  I would NOT use taxi service there, like Guest 2000 said... they are not regulated on Roatan.
