When you say points what are you referring to?  Is it the points that show on the slots after playing for days?

The points appear on the screen where you cash out, etc. They will follow you to every machine until th the last day of the cruise.  They start on day 1 but do not accumulate when you use free play cash.

The last full day on the cruise (not the day arriving at the port to debark) - you will receive a "come back and play" offer based on the points you earned on the cruise.

So if you have a budget for playing  - play your budget and play nothing on the last full day, those points will not go towards your offer on the final day.

If you have a low budget there is a good chance you will not get much of an offer. Last cruise both myself and my wife hit $1,300 - $2,000 jackpots on the last day

We still have a standing offer of free inside and $250 free play on any cruise under 21 days. Of course the good bounce back we received on the last cruise of free balcony and $600 free play they can’t seem to find even though we have sent screenshots twice

Believe it or not we were able to book our bounce back deal today.

3 weeks

I'm still waiting for my CBS offer to show up in the system.  Tried to book after the obligatory 10 day wait and was also told it was not in the system yet and could take another month.  I just received an email that it will take another week or two.  I disembarked on June 17th.  This is happening with everyone.   They are extending the deadline date of the offers.

I have a Core email offer for up to 3 free rooms but it's not in the system yet, either.   It's been 2 weeks.   I was getting email and snail mail offers every other week and was able to book with no problem.   I suspect it's a supply and demand issue.  Now that they are filling up the ships with paying customers, they will delay booking the comped rooms.

@Kabuki12 , um, who did you email?  Can you share email address?

Regarding extending the deadline date, that would be great actually, as it provides more options.

As mentioned before, this was my first Princess cruise; and I was eager to do another.  NCL is way more opaque on their offers, however they have a pretty reliable and helpful US-based Casinos at Sea call center to do bookings and navigate your options.  As a first-timer to Princess' casino offers, so far, it seems very clunky, as if there are barriers to hurdle, like they don't want to actually follow-through.

It's been 2.5 weeks since I got off the ship, so I hope that within a week or two the offer will be uploaded to my account.

Thanks everyone for their input and feedback!

For machines it’s $2.50 per 1 point on “slots” and $5 per 1 point, on “video poker”.

ie: You put in a $100 bill to a slot machine (we’ll use lightning link as an example) and play $2.50 per spin…you push the “spin” button 40 times, you’ve earned “40 points”…doesn’t mean you’ve “lost $100”, you may be up down or sideways..

another example

you put in a $100 bill into a video poker machine and play $1.25 per hand, and play 80 hands…you’ve earned “20 points”…again, doesn’t mean you “lost $100”…

I played every night on a 5 day cruise in april but spent less than $1000 out of pocket (won a bit then would lose it 😆) I got a balcony stateroom, $500 fp, and princess plus. I wonder as a first time princess cruiser if they would give me a nicer offer to come back again? My offers in the mail since then have been around $400-$600 fp balcony with no princess plus.

I emailed fbaron@princesscruises.com.   This was the email address that I was instructed to use when I called the casino number on the offer. I received the email a week later.    I would suggest calling asap.

This is a cut and paste of the email:

This is to confirm that I have received your email. We were able to forward your offer to our promo team. It should be loaded to your account within 1-2 weeks.  By that time, we should be able to book your cruise with the offer.

We appreciate your patience and understanding on this matter.

Dealing with the casino call center in the Philippines is a very frustrating experience. They tend to make mistakes with bookings.  It used to take hours on hold to get a rep but now that casino comped rooms can be booked on the website it's easier to get through to a rep.

I sincerely doubt the sail expiration date is extended.  They were referring to the booking expiration date as it will probably be expired by the time it's in the system.   CBS offers must be booked within 45 days of issuance.

I just hope that the cruises that I want are still available when this finally gets straightened out.

NCL sounds like they have a wonderful system and it is the exact opposite of what you will experience with Princess.

They also take into account the number of days of your cruise.
You could have reached the point threshold for a 5 day cruise.

And what is a good number to have to get some decent offers? I have had over 7000.

i usually have between 10K and 15K and have always received an offer for a balcony, $600 free play and princess plus pkg....Last trip was 10 days and had 14K points - my offer was for the balcony and free play....no princess plus...they are getting more selective. My husband had 5500 and his offer was an interior and $250 FP..For 7000, you would probably get the interior and some FP.

P.S> Your mantra is also mine...

Now that they are sailing at full capacity, they are cutting back on casino offers esp. PP.

It takes about 2 weeks for the codes to be in the system. On my last offer they used a place holder code to hold the booking and then transferred in the real code once it was available. This was June.

My offer never showed online, i was allowed to book it, but had issues on the ship with free play amount. Showed paper and the gave me extra free play. Then charged me for the extra free play because they didnt see the offer. Took 5 months to finally straighten the mess out.

It’s a mess. I stay on-top of everything. You can’t just book for face value anymore. Wrong codes or unapplied codes is  a thing, It’s on us now to keep up with all of it.
