Club points for pre-cruise purchases

I keep receiving MSC offers for pre cruise purchases on my 2 bookings.  They tell me one of the benefits is 100 club points for every $150 spent in the planner.  When are these points awarded? With the cruise points or at some other time?  I spent over that amount in one transaction already and haven't seen points added.

Points won't be added until you actually use the purchases on board.

The pre cruise spending points will be added with your cruise points and any onboard spend, after the cruise.

Sometimes, several weeks (months?) after the cruise. 😉

Until a new level appears it makes little difference to most when the points get added.

 

Double(nearly tripple) Diamond already with only 6 voyages/50n

We've obviously been very fortunate, ours have always been added by the time we've returned home from each trip. 

*We're in the UK and the UK office service is prompt and competent... usually, hoping I've not jinxed it now 🙃

That is not the case for me and the points are still important as Im just below Diamond from a status match done after MSC stopped awarding everyone Diamond like they were doing back in the beginning of matching status.

I'm still waiting for points for onboard and prepaid purchases from my February cruise, 5 months ago. I email them every week or so, they asked for proof which I sent, then they ignored me for over 2 months, and now they tell me I got them when I haven't.
