Kennedy space center

Are shuttles available at the port to Kennedy space center?  Looking to buy admission  tickets before august 30 as they have a sale, but unsure of transportation availability.  The cruise ship has an excursion 139.99/person with transportation but the space center has tickets for 68.00 but we need to find transportation.  We are a family of 6.  Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You would need to arrange your own transportation.  There are several car rental companies close to the port, some within walking distance.

We used a Lyft to get there, but I’m sure Uber is available, too.

We booked the excursion thru Royal last year and paid $79.99 pp.  Now it’s closer to $140pp.

I’m oasis now and the excursion was yesterday and excellent.

On your excursion, did you just get the roundtrip transportation and ticket or was it guided at least by getting you right into the center? Was there a lot of wait time in the entrance line or could you get right it because of already having the ticket? Is there a place to get lunch or a snack there?

It’s not like what you think. More like an amusement park. Plenty of places for food and drink. No wait getting in on the ship tour. On my tour there was no guiding. We were pointed to the entrance and told when to be back on the bus. To me it was underwhelming. I much prefer the museum in Huntsville, just wasn’t much at KSC.

Round trip and included the entrance fee.  The big problem is that we arrived at 12:30PM and it shortened the amount of time at the KSC.  Also, one of the attractions (?) requires bus/shuttle and the latest is at 3PM and if you miss you are out of luck.  It was worth at then price we paid.

Yes, plenty of places to eat, however, we had lunch on ship and purchased water and some snacks at the center.

What we saw was very educational and interesting.  Never realized how big the Space Shuttle was.

We have in the past done the RCI excursion and it was wonderful. It not only included transportation but had a guide that stayed with us throughout the whole day and that made everything so easy. We waited in no lines at all.

the bus tour is fully 50% of the KSC visitor center experience ..... you don't want to miss this part. The bus tour is the only way to get to Saturn 5 rocket and moon landing stuff.

Try one of the nearby rental car companies and book a van for the day. That would definitely be your cheapest option for 6 passengers. Only extra expense would be parking at KSC and putting in a couple gallons of gas before returning it. Verify rental car office hours.
