Yup. If you look at the deck plans, the SS are grouped in fours. For every group of four, the outside two do not have the pole, the inside two do have the pole.

As an example, take cabins 10123, 10121, 10119, 10117.

With pole: 10121, 10119

No pole: 10123, 10117

Interesting in that we were on Edge in April for 24 days and no pole in the cabin?

Not a pole in the cabin, but on balcony.  Which I can now see by looking up a picture.  I've never had one either - guess I;ve always gotten lucky and had the outside of the 4.  See below.  The inner 2 have the pole centered in the balcony.  The outer 2 in the group of 4 have no pole.

So . . . on the Apex - SS cabins in the number range of 10151, 10153, 10155, 10157:

No pole would be in 10151 (our suite)?  If so, we got lucky and did not even know it.  Thanks for the info.

We didn't know about the pole either. Thanks mac_tlc. We got the outside cabin of the four. 🙂

Are these considered obstructed view cabins then?  How would you know if not for this thread?

We've had one cabin with the pole inside and one cabin with the pole outside.

No big deal, in our opinion. After all we were on a cruise! 😁
