Ol fashioned BBQ on Valor still open?

We’ll be on the Valor in 10 days, and trying to pin down all my bits and pieces. I see the maps on carnivals page has it listed, but it’s not listed under the dining options. Does anyone know if it’s still operational, and will likely be open on embarkation day?

Is this just one of the stations on the buffet?  Those aren't usually listed separately on anything published.

No it's actually a separate eatery.  I don't think there is much around it.

Embarkation Day Hours Are:

11am to 3:30pm

 

Regular Hours Are:

12pm to 2:30pm

 

 

Ol’ Fashioned BBQ is available for lunch on Conquest, Freedom, Glory, Liberty, Luminosa, Splendor, and Valor.

Yes, it's up on Deck 10, aft, there's a staircase by the buffet.  Not many people realize it's up there.  They do have very limited hours though.

I found similar info, but the lack of specific information for the ship is what made me question. It’s not listed for any of the other ships either, so for whatever reason carnival is keeping this option quiet.

It's Pig and Anchor on the other ships.  From what I've read, it’s the same food, just didn’t have the Guy Fieri branding due to licensing or something. Having had both, it seems like the same food.

Thanks for the info. I’ll have to check it out on my upcoming cruise on the Valor in two weeks. Always good to add a new venue to my lunch routine, especially when I’m ready for second or third lunch.

It's an especially good option for embarkation lunch when the deck 9 buffet and food stations are a zoo, and people haven't discovered the BBQ station yet.

but not insignificant. It could be a one off for Glory, or a mistake, or?

 

The Valor FT were from February and the Glory were from August. Both ships home port in New Orleans.

Ol fashioned BBQ was in fact open on embarkation day, as well as both sea days. 11-3 I believe.

After boarding,  we would head straight there.  Not many people knew about it so it was never too busy.  I miss it.
