NotLikeBelleRosen,IHope Posted October 11, 2023 #1 Share Posted October 11, 2023 I booked a cruise on line today. I'd like to move it to a local travel agent. What do I have to do to make transfer happen? (Note: I tried to use search function. It did not work)
REOVA Posted October 12, 2023 #2 Share Posted October 12, 2023 Call your TA. There is a form that you (and they) need to sign and they should be able to get it from HAL to transfer the booking. You only have a limited time after booking.

leerathje Posted October 12, 2023 #4 Share Posted October 12, 2023 I booked a cruise online the day they had $1. deposit. 2 days later, my TA filled out the attached form, and presto! The cruise was assigned to her. L. HAL-transfer.pdf
syesmar Posted October 12, 2023 #5 Share Posted October 12, 2023 I used to do this all the time for the TA’s perks. I would hold sailings via HAL’s regular phone reps, and that would give me a few days (usually) to work out my airline tickets, etc. Then when I was ready, my TA would call the department at HAL (it has “World” in its name) and within a few minutes they had it transferred to the TA (it seems like I may have been part of the call at some point). Good luck!

Iamthesea Posted October 12, 2023 #10 Share Posted October 12, 2023 DH and I booked direct with the $1 deposit and got a good deal with HAL. Our booking was well past the 60 days to my transfer when my TA when they had a fantastic deal during Labor Day. We cancelled the booking with HAL and rebooked with my TA. We lost the $2 deposit, but came out way ahead with TA!
