None are scheduled, as you apparently know.  Cruises could be added in the future.

Looking at cruises departing from Miami and Port Canaveral in '24/25 there are gaps there as well. I'm hoping that means there's still hope that NCL schedules a ship for Jan./Feb out of NYC. Maybe it's just me, but it does seem like NCL has "fallen out of love" with NY the last few years. Two ships year-round is a thing of the past.

I have taken the 10-day winter cruises out of NYC and, while they are OK, I am not crazy about them.  You lose about 1.5 days of “outdoors “ each way, and the ports are comparatively uninteresting.  Better to start in Port Canaveral or Miami.

And visit the same Caribbean/Mexican ports for gazillionth time? No thanks. There is Bermuda, which you could visit 5 times and never do the same thing twice. Also many ports in New England and Canada we've never visited. I would hate to see the NY sailings limited or stopped.

None of these sail in February.

You lose a day each way in the airport. I’d rather be on the ship in the casino and theater and being served dinner. And be home in a half hour when debarking and not worry about packing for flying. We just use it for escape from the winter blahs and never get off the ship anymore.

I couldn't agree more. Love the convenience of house to pier in 45 minutes. Sailing Getaway out of NYC this Feb. I'm still holding out hope NCL schedules a ship out of NYC next Winter. If not I'll book MSC Meraviglia out of Brooklyn. They have some nice 10 night itineraries Winter '25 going to the Caribbean.

I think they are moving some of their fleet around. My parents were going to be on the Prima as well, so I took a look and noticed in February 2025, 6 ships (Escape, Gem, Jade, Pearl, Prima and Spirit) don’t have itineraries.

For their sake, I hope something ends up in New England, they only really cruise out of NY or MA due to convenience and my mom not liking to fly.

This is exactly right. I had actually booked the Escape out of Galveston in March 2025 about 6 weeks ago... about two weeks later it disappeared from their website when my folks were looking to price a cabin to possibly join us and then about a week later we received a notice from NCL that it was being cancelled. Just keep checking the schedule to see what ships end up where!

I have done three NCL cruises out of NYC and have mixed feelings... I don't like that you loose the first day or two down and back in winter weather when you can step off the plane in other port cities and be in "vacation" weather before boarding the ship. Conversely I don't mind not incurring the cost and exhaustive airport process of flying. It's still a day on the road for us to reach port (about 7 1/2 hours plus stop time) and we always go a day ahead just as we do when flying so we don't realize hotel/food saving.

It really comes down to a preference thing and certainly is a unique cruising experience versus going out of Miami. Nothing quite like cruising down the Hudson. On the Escape in 2018 we docked back in port the night before disembarkation for a medical issue onboard and let me tell you... standing on the deck watching the New York skyline slide by and dazzle in the cold and clear winter night was quite the awesome experience!

Thank you for sharing the available ships. My guess is that they will bring back one of the jewel class ships.

The NCL cruises going out of NYC for the winter of 2024 are terrible. 5, 7 and 10 days.... all on the Getaway and most of them stopping in Bermuda. Did Bermuda cut a deal with NCL?  Who wants to take a 5 day cruise to Bermuda in January?

The only thing you can do in Bermuda in January is shop sales or maybe golf. Ten days is good unless you have kids. We were forced to fly to Miami for winter school break for $1000 a person for coach seats because NCL had no ships sailing in February for school break. Next year, unless there’s a change, we will pass on a cruise and take a Grand Canyon tour for Easter.

Grand Canyon is great. Stay in Vegas and take a helicopter tour of the Canyon

I’m looking at the Tauck bridges tour ( multi generational) from Scottsdale to Vegas. Kids will be 9 and 12. We will stay longer in Vegas after they go home with Mom

Get a room at the Cosmopolitan, book a fountain room on a higher floor. The view from the balcony is great. Its the only hotel on the strip that has balconies. And the rooms are huge because it was originally built to be a condo

Don’t think NCL will stop scheduling cruises out of NYC winter 2025. It’s a popular port for passengers and crew..  Think they just haven’t finalized their schedules.  We’ve been watching November NYC cruises for ‘25, and they are not yet posted.

We used to sail regulary in December and February-March out of NY.  (For now, it’s only November so my sister can sail with us before she joins family here for Thanksgiving), and agree with Treasure Hunter about not minding 2 days of cold weather to be in the sun somewhere without having to board a plane to get there.  😎
