For those that don't like gratis bottle of bubbly -   Just have your room attendant send it to the dining room and they will give you a credit toward a bottle of your choice.

I did not know that.  I'll see what my DW wants to do next time we sail.

Iain often does that.    As you know the selection changes with each of the suites.   -  I believe SS and CS get that Wonderful (sic)  Elegance.   RS and above they give better Sparkling and Substitutes.

He usually trades it in for a Louis Jadot Chardonnay

I'm curious to see what the credit on the bubbly is worth as they buy them dirt cheap

I don't recall but may be what ever a bottle of Elegance sells for.    Basically an exchange of Like for Like e.g. Chardonnay or Merlot by Elegance or the value against the price of a better bottle.

I usually politely confirm with the Sommelier in advance if I can trade it in for something more palatable,  and I don't even drink.

I am sailing in a sky suite at the end of January and after I made final payment I received a Retreat welcome email with a link to  " personalize your in-room and port day experiences."   One of the questions was about wine preference (red, white or sparkling) for the bottle of wine.  This was also listed on the email:
