Ok, maybe a little full disclosure.  If you are in TSL now, there are probably no more than seven people there excluding staff.

Has the weather been nice enough to use pool area food and bar, guessing yes since you went south?

Have you seen Duncan the YCD?  We saw him for a total of one minute going between doors over ten days.  Very odd.

It's dreary, rainy so the lounge has no less than 30 pax here now.  Busy afternoon.

Duncan, no.  Larry has been taking care of me.

Weather until yesterday and today has been swell.

Seems very odd that Duncan not out and about over 21 days.

Larry escorted us on the ship so he was memorable although not our butler.  Very nice guy.  From Kenya iirc.

Have not seen Duncan, but have had multiple convos with Hugh, who's the current director of YC guest experience.  A affable, kind gent from Scotland.

Here's an example from real life: we went to dinner at Morton's The Steakhouse last night. Our bill was just over $450 for our dinner. We go there every 3 or 4 weeks, not that often. If we regularly saw anyone wearing a tank top and flip flops, we would not be dining there again. We expect the same in MSC YC.

People may need to mind their own business and let the ship crew deal with it.  Just enjoy your cruise and stop judging others.  You have no idea what people’s financial situations are like.  Perhaps they saved for many years for that cruise, don’t have much money left for “elegant” clothes and/or maybe it’s their first cruise and they don’t know any better. They also just might choose not to dress up because they like a relaxed dress code. You’ll have a better cruise if you focus on getting to know your fellow cruisers as people and not criticize what they’re wearing. We all look the same underneath those clothes, whether it’s an evening gown or cargo shorts.  I don’t believe it’s an intentional snub to the fancy dressers.

The Cunard forum is leaking into others again, back you go 😂. We will be sailing with our toddler in YC, I will make sure to pick out his finest onesie for the top sail.

I hope you've sent him to manners classes already! Sounds like some people might be offended if your toddler doesn't behave accordingly. 😜

Pretty much this, your sailing on a mass market cruise line that so happens to have a separate section on the ship for guests willing to pay extra for a dedicated area. Get over yourselves thinking that you’re sailing on the Ritz ship or Ponant. We chose YC because of not having to fight for loungers by the pool and having a more 1 on 1 service. You dressing up in a tuxedo or dress is not going to impress me anymore or change my vacation.
