does carnival send out a new confirmation email when the process the request?

my app still says processing. when i check obc in my booking i see it was processed and added.

Once it was approved by Carnival, Stockperks sent me the confirmation that it went through.  I went to "Manage My Cruise" on the Carnival website to check, and it was there!

I use Fidelity and thats true, I did not enter any of my Fidelity user or account information, just the ownership statement without account numbers redacted. And received the stock benefit.

Same for me, even though we have EJ.  Trying to load my info using the EJ option didn't work, so I chose the Fidelity option and uploaded the photo of my stock statement info. Received the "verifying your stock ownership" screen.  Hopefully it will work.  Thanks to all on this thread!  Had no idea CCL had changed the method for submitting the shareholder OBC request.  Leave it to CCL to make us jump through even more hoops to do something.

Does anyone know when the current July cut-off will be extended?

Annual report was issued yesterday,

The meeting of shareholders is scheduled for 4/5/2024, so that is when it would be extended.

I think that is when the board votes as well.

Thanks

actually, I think they issue the announcement around the same time as the annual report, which makes more since since the current notice says cruise must be booked by next week

First time to sail with a friend sharing cabin...another shareholder. Will we both be able to get shareholders' benefit??

no,:

Only one onboard credit per shareholder-occupied stateroom.

How long has it been taking for them to confirm stock ownership?

Stockperks took about three days for me recently but after that they have been good at getting the credit applied in a day or two. I was a skeptic at first, but like how easy it is now for future cruises.

Thanks. We submitted 5 days ago and haven't heard anything. Do you know if there a phone number to call?

My app only has a contact us button. No phone number listed for me.

After having problems with the app (as listed above), and receiving no solution from stockperks, I emailed Carnival explaining my problem using the app, and INCLUDED all of my information (stock proof, sailing, dates, etc.)  I just received an email from Carnival stating that they ONLY accept stockperks and will not accept my email request. They directed me to email stockperks 🙄🫤, which I've already done twice.

So no, you can't bypass the app and email your request, according to the email I got from Carnival a few minutes ago.

It's my understanding that the stockperks app requires the applicant (shareholder) to provide information on his/her investment account and give a blank permission for "stockperks" to access the shareholder's account (without limitation). If such permission is given to stockperks, can stockperks access and obtain all my financial information in my account? If so, would this be a violation of the privacy act?

I tried contacting the Carnival Corp & plc regarding the subject matter. I haven't received any response. When I applied for the shareholder benefit with Princess Cruises, I was instructed to use the stockperks app.

Can someone enlighten me on whether the stockperks requirement is legal and how to protect our investment account data?

Thank you.

You do not have to give them access, no login info or passwords. I took a picture of a statement that showed how many Carnival shares we have, with any account numbers or info blacked out, 2 days later they said we were good.

Thank you very much for your prompt response and suggestion.

I signed in the stockperks app, took a pic of the investment firm statement where the CCL shares are shown and uploaded it into the app. I received an e-mail from stockperks right away acknowledging receipt of the statement.

I appreciated your help.

In a day or 2 they will tell you if it is approved or denied.  My first one was denied because my brokerage statement was 3 months old. I re-submitted and was approved 2 days later.  Once approved, then you can apply it towards your upcoming cruises through the app.  I had 2 ( 1 in March, 1 in April) approved within 3 days.

Great. It's comfort to know the app works. I will have to learn how to apply it towards the upcoming cruises. Thanks.

Sorry I  didn't see this to respond earlier. This is also exactly what I did. It's a "work around " that was suggested by Carnival's brand ambassador,  John Heald.

I'm not an "appy" person, and didn't have a small child handy to perform the task. I emailed StockPerks, and their representative was able to register the OBC for me.

The OBC is showing in the Booking and Order details in my Carnival account.  This is a great step forward, as the old e-mail method never showed up for me on the booking, and more than once I have had to go to guest services with the email printout.

The StockPerks rep said in their email that they were working on a computer version for their website.  I am hopeful that they actually will do this for dinosaurs like me that still use desktops.  😄

Thanks to everyone who had provided suggestions and guidance on submitting the share ownership statement via Stockperks.

I checked yesterday online my Princess account and saw the $250 OBC under shareholder benefit for my 2025 cruise. It was a great.

I don't think the OBC approval was as a result of the statement submission via the stockperks app. After the submission, stockperks acknowledged receipt of the statement and indicated it would notify me when ownership is confirmed. I never received any further notification from stockperks on any approval or confirmation.

A few days before I provided the statement photo to stockperks, I had, as I always did in the past many years, (1) e-mailed the shareholder benefit form and the share ownership statement directly to Princess cruises, and (2) faxed Princess directly the required document as well.

Princess rejected my e-mail request and directed me to use the stockperks to apply. I did not receive any rejection notification from Princess to my faxed application. As such, it made me believe that Princess may, depending on the individual who handle the case, assisted and granted the OBC to my cruise booking (which save me the hassle of going through the stockperks). One of my relatives, who applied for the OBC via e-mail a few weeks ago, received the shareholder benefit OBC on a cruise we will be on in Apr.

A lot has changed since the pandemic. Some changes were good and some were not so good for the seniors. I understand and acknowledge the fact that we need to catch up to the hi-tech especially for those process which can save manpower and time. However, I wish CCL would consider that it can be a burden and inconvenience to the seniors to learn how to use the app ... etc. Some may not have a friend or relative to help them how to use the app.
