recruiter 28 Posted November 10, 2023 #1 Share Posted November 10, 2023 Has anyone stayed at a Ft Lauderdale hotel the night before leaving on a cruise with the hotel providing parking while you cruised?
Rare GeorgeCharlie Posted November 10, 2023 #2 Share Posted November 10, 2023 (edited) Have a look at this hotel info site, it offers a number of options regarding long term parking - i.e. Courtyard by Marriott hotel offers extended parking at $35/week. 26 Hotels near Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port with 'Free' Shuttle 2023/24 (allcruisehotels.com) Edited November 10, 2023 by GeorgeCharlie
StLouisCruisers Posted November 10, 2023 #3 Share Posted November 10, 2023 We stayed at Hyatt Place Fort Lauderdale Cruise Port on SE 10th for one night with parking added for an additional 7 nights last February. However the reservation was made through ParkSleepHotels.com due to lower pricing than through the hotel website. You might check the website I just mentioned for some ideas. sailawayward Posted November 10, 2023 #4 Share Posted November 10, 2023 As an alternative, you may want to consider Park By The Ports, which is part of the Casino at Dania Beach, just south of the port. $9.99 per day + tax includes shuttle service to AND from the cruise terminal . Rare VMax1700 Posted November 10, 2023 #5 Share Posted November 10, 2023 If you look at the Florida Departures forum you may find a lot more information. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/386-florida-departures/
CruiserBruce Posted November 10, 2023 #6 Share Posted November 10, 2023 If you look around the board, you will see recommendations to check out visitlauderdale.com, a website that lists all FLL hotels, with their amenities, including on site long term parking. In addition to that website, check out the 2024 Cruise Guide on the Port Everglades official website (www, porteverglades, net). Hotels with long term parking have advertisements (on the last few pages IIRC).

Often the hotels offering long term parking have inflated their rates. You need to compare the rates charged by the hotels that offer long term parking with hotels that do not offer long term parking. You may find it's cheaper to pay to park at the port than at a hotel that offers 'free' long term parking. Also does the hotel charge for a shuttle to/from the port? Plus some hotels' long term parking is an open parking lot with limited security. We always parked at the port because we had a long drive home and didn't want to spend a lot of time waiting for a shuttle to take us to our vehicle.
