She and some of the colleagues currently onboard are leaving the ship from Texas once the repo is done, home to South Africa for the holidays. Several people currently on the Viva say Clarence is not there. They think he might be on the Joy. He had said that he was going to more only a couple more contracts and then retire. It was last Spring when he said that.

But we’re somehow disappointed as some of our favorite items were not on the lunch menu anymore. At Nudls they used to have a pasta dish that was super yummy and at Latin quarter they had the tuna tostada, both gone! Not sure if they are gone as part of cutbacks, or there is another reason, but I also noticed that the salchisas from the Rotisserie used to be those typical thick sausages, are now thin versions and look really sad. But on the positive side, the Tamara (Indian venue), is still as amazing as we remember from last time. Attached the pictures from the pasta and tuna tostada from our last cruise.

Very fancy dinner! That looks like John from Hawaii second from right. Met him on the Prima back in March. We had the same Thanksgiving menu on the Viva. I thought the turkey and trimmings were good. Also tasted the pumpkin cheesecake, pecan pie, sweet potato bread pudding, and blackberries/cherries with sabayon, because I could not possibly decide on one dessert. That would be wrong. Rare mking8288 Posted November 24, 2023 Author #256 Share Posted November 24, 2023 (edited) Rise n shine, good morning as we near Ponta Delgarda ... Breakfast in the busy & crowded buffet, inadequate space ... IMHO, for our (in) convenience, of course 😳 🤔 🫣 This just around the corner from midship elevators & stairs at 7 AM, opposite someone's balcony cabin ... still there an hour later, someone can easily tripped on it 🙄 Common sense, idiots 😤 Too early to dock at 8 AM ?? as we are barely moving Edited November 24, 2023 by mking8288

Rare mking8288 Posted November 24, 2023 Author #268 Share Posted November 24, 2023 (edited) 4:15 PM ... Bye, Ponta D. until next time, we are sailing now & underway, 4 Sea Days & next planned stop, Dockyard - Bermuda, next Wed with 9 AM scheduled arrival. A light drizzle begins to fall & mist/fog rolling in, a storm expected here tomorrow & Sunday. 😂 Bridge to engine room, full speed ahead for the crossing with pilot boat escort. **** additional Ponta D photo series later 👌 Windy App charted data for next 4 days, a bit choppy & could be mixed with rocking and rolling 🫣 but we fully expected the possibilities. Rare mking8288 Posted November 24, 2023 Author #273 Share Posted November 24, 2023 Nice to be surprised everytime we return to our cabin, except the disposable generic slippers delivered to us (didn't ask for them) weren't good enough for Mr. Bigfoot. Ponta 's crew store got my size and it's lightweight and should be good for a couple of cruises. Now, I can sit out on the balcony without being barefoot. Coffee supplies got replenished - used 2 pods to brew a strong 8 oz. cup 👍
