Darn it, no fun anytime, but especially when you're on a long awaited cruise. Hope everyone experiencing any problems will get better ASAP!

From the Australian Broadcasting article link below:

SA Health says a cruise liner bound for Adelaide from Queensland is dealing with outbreaks of both COVID-19 and gastroenteritis.

Key points:

  • SA Health says a cruise ship heading to Adelaide is dealing with outbreaks of COVID and gastro
  • SA Health has not confirmed how many people on board are infected
  • SA is experiencing a rise in both gastro-related illnesses and COVID cases

The Grand Princess — operated by Princess Cruises — is expected to arrive in Port Adelaide on Monday.

Grand Princess passenger, Maureen Monk, said there was a lack of communication onboard that she believed created an "unsafe environment" for passengers.

"The communication was not there at all, none of the guests really knew what was going on," she said.

It's fall 2023 covid, not 2020 covid.

There's covid cases on every ship now.

Our recent Majestic was coughing and sneezing everywhere.

We've been on a couple gastro outbreaks too. Wash hands, don't touch anything.

It's actually spring covid in Australia but I agree with the remainder of your post.

Another suggestion in to have disposable.

It's been revealed that there were less than 10 Covid cases and less that 10 gastro cases. Our media down here is just scum and love to jump on stories like this, especially after the Ruby situation a few years ago.

I shocked, shocked I tell you to learn that the media would sensationalize anything to do with covid and cruise ships.

A 2023 "case" is not the same as a 2020 "case".

Within the last year, SWMBO has exhibited some mild cold symptoms and both times tested positive for covid.  She treated it symptomatically and it pretty much ran the course of the common cold - three days coming, three days staying, three days going.

Even though we cohabitate, she never shared it with me.

BTW, our covid vaccine cards are full and now we are just paperclipping our vaccination receipts to them.
