Latest reasonable time to arrive for a 3:00 cruise from Galveston?

Just being dropped off at the terminal (no parking, etc.) and using the Green Line, what's the latest reasonable time to arrive for a 3:00 cruise from Galveston?

Read recent reviews about embarkation/debarkation problems out of Galveston.  Green line doesn't exist outside of the terminal. I agree with Cruise Raider - 11:00AM.  Be prepared for delays unless Galveston changes their procedures.

I was going to say noon, but after reflection I agree with 11:00am. It all depends on how "risk averse" you are.

Does this issue exist with all the cruise lines out of Galveston, or is it just PCL?

 

Is it because PCL is still new to that port?

You must be checked in 90 minutes before sailing. That means the latest check in time is 1:30. With the delays reported at Galveston I think what others have mentioned, 11am is a good 'late' target.

If you are in line by 1:00 I would doubt you would be turned away. What times are they showing on the personalizer for boarding ?

My family will never forget the horror of boarding in Galveston. Due to three ships in port and pouring rain, our ship didn’t leave until 10:00 pm. I think you are fine arriving at 1:00 pm.

Not something I would wanna gamble much on personally, especially with how much of a mess it’s been recently. Supposedly according to recent reviews they were shutting the port doors at 2:30 and people who hadn’t made it in yet were just denied boarding. Potential Downside of getting there early is more waiting also with the potential upside of getting on the ship earlier, potential downside of getting there late is missing your cruise

If you are on a Princess shuttle from an airport it won’t matter when you arrive. I have seen ships hold their departure for well over an hour waiting for late buses
