Rare h20skibum Posted December 31, 2023 #6 Share Posted December 31, 2023 Likely you will be on deck 4, and that should be open on boarding day. Did you have reservations linked and request a large table when you booked? Highly unlikely they will make any change for the first night, even if you go as soon as you board. They will try to make a change for the second night and the rest of the cruise. That has been our experience.

Early, Late and My Time Dining only apply to the Main Dining Room (often called the MDR on these boards). If you're talking about a specialty restaurant, you'll need to make a separate appointment, and that would be at a specific time ... not just "early". 2 hours ago, Harrisonkid said: which Host station will be opened at boarding to get a large table secured for a family of 7. - Are your reservations "linked"? And are all parties signed up for the same dining time? If so, you'll probably all be assigned to a large table. - A couple weeks before you cruise, email rcldining@rccl.com. Include your ship and sailing date in the subject line, or they'll ignore it. Tell them what you want. - Upon boarding, go to the 3rd floor (main floor of the MDR) and check to see if you're happy with your assignment. If you board early, you'll probably have the option to change.

You will find out what dining room you are assigned to when you get your sea pass card. MTD starts after early seating is finished and is on deck 3 from 6;45 until 9 pm. Make sure all your cabins are set for the same dining plan. Link your reservations and you will more than likely be set up on a 8 top. Early traditional is around 5pm, MTD starts around 6;45 and late traditional is around 8pm. As others have said , make your first stop after boarding a trip to the dining room to verify what you have, then head to Muster check in which takes about two minutes. . Like so many things in life, it sounds like experiences vary. 🙂 Our experience has been the opposite. We always stop by the dining room shortly after boarding, and on the few occasions when we didn't get what we had requested, it was changed for us right away. Of course, the OP could still fall into the unlucky category, but it's probably worth a try since it's clearly important to their cruising group. It's important to us too, so we make it a priority and we haven't yet been disappointed.
