I like that inside cabin set up.  If you aren’t comfortable saying the cabin # can you do after you are home please.  We had fwd balconies which I enjoyed but I like inside cabins.

It reminds me of one of the “square” rooms.  I really liked those.

Excel Squares are the best inside cabins at sea IMHO.

Also, love those Boudin balls. Big Boudin guy.

After the rum, I ended up having a couple of the local beers and just taking in the scene there. I couldn't believe that I was actually hanging out in the same place as one of my all time favorite writers... The things that this building has seen must be unfathomable... Gonzo himself may have sitten in one of these very barstools...

For awhile I just walked up and down each block, taking in the sights and smells of the city... I imagined the things that an old town like this had seen over the centuries...

Birra and Empanada is on my list to do when we sail out of San Juan next month. We’re spending 3 days in OSJ prior to our embarkation. Definitely want local food.

Raices is fantastic, it was recommended to us by a friend who lived in San Juan.  The fish cakes and mofongo were excellent.

Great pictures!

We did a B2B out of SJ in Feb. 2022 and had gone in 2 days early to explore. Well, it wasn't meant to be, it poured our entire time there. For sailaway it was pouring, when we returned 1 week later it was still pouring so much that before sailaway for week 2 you could here everyone's phones going off with weather alerts. Someday hope to get back and explore.

When I passed it the first time it still wasn't opening time yet, so I still kept in going...

(*** In another note, I forgot to add that the tab for my three drinks back at the El Batey ended up being $14 for three drinks... Unheard of in this day and age. I ended up just throwing the bartender a $20 and he was happy)

There was a mask that I was still trying to find, so I went into another couple of shops to try and find one... Finally I found a place that had exactly what I came here for, even though I had no idea how I would get it back home in one piece...
