Iheartsup Posted January 16 #1 Share Posted January 16 Hi Everyone! We are going to be in St. Thomas in April and our port times are 11:00-7:00. We want to go to a beach on our own to snorkel for a half day. We would love some suggestions of safe beaches with good snorkeling from shore! We are also open to a half day/full day taxi shuttle service that will bring us to the beach and then downtown to shop and back to the ship! Thanks! Ms411 Posted January 16 #4 Share Posted January 16 There will be plenty of taxis at both docks that will take you and others on the ships to the beaches. Taxis charge per person per destination each way. Most only take cash. Popular snorkeling beaches are Sapphire, Coki, and Secret Harbor. Coki is a party beach and can get crowded. Sapphire is a bigger beach and is mildly active. Secret Harbor is quieter, but they limit rental chairs to keep crowds down. All those beaches rent chairs and have food and drink. When you're ready to leave the beach the taxi driver can take you to town. From town there will be plenty of taxis to take you and others back to the ship. threedjmay Posted January 21 #5 Share Posted January 21 Anyone been to Lindquist Beach? Did you take a taxi there and is there good snorkeling there, or just a sandy beach?
lil93bit Posted January 21 #6 Share Posted January 21 We did a shore dive from Coki Beach in St. Thomas and loved it. It was recommended to me by a person born and raised there.
Rare Tyler414 Posted January 21 #7 Share Posted January 21 Coki has good snorkeling, small, but nice beach, more of a local vibe.
