Rare jimbo5544 Posted January 29 Author #326 Share Posted January 29 So Port Stanley is a tender port. The ride is about 20 minutes or so. There were two phases to the tendering. One for people with excursions run out of the theater and the other for people just going over to the island. This was done floor 4 mid ships. There were 3 or 4 life boats used the tendering. GatorMomInNC Posted January 29 #327 Share Posted January 29 Someone else on the cruise posted there was a 4 hour wait to tender and they missed their private tour....

It's possible. Stanley is a port where EVERYBODY wants to be on the first tender to shore. Priority goes to those on ship tours and also Elite and above Captains Club members. If not on a ship tour, you have to get tender tickets. People line up well before the tickets begin to be handed out. You need to get up early. Rare jimbo5544 Posted January 29 Author #329 Share Posted January 29 We arrived a little early and they started calling non excursion tender tickets around 8. We were doing a small group off road trip to see penguins and sea lions. It took about 1:50 to get there. Lunch was included. Rustic is an understatement but we enjoyed the excursion. Pics following. I really was not paying attention. They did mention the day before about how the process worked. I believe you had to go down early to get number. Not sure of their details. As mentioned before the ride was long for a life boat tender. At least twenty minutes (each way).

Others reporting it was totally first come first served- no priority for CC status
