cubfan63 Posted February 9 #3 Share Posted February 9 (edited) There is also an official website from the EU to review regarding the ETIAS. https://travel-europe.europa.eu/etias_en UK also has an ETA. Not active yet for US, but apparently sometime this years per the official UK site. https://www.etauk.uk/ Edited February 9 by cubfan63

Seems unlike Princess Cruises, they won't start using this until ALL the bugs are worked out.

The UK is not part of the EU, so even when the ETIAS is implemented by the EU, which won't be until at least mid 2025, it wouldn't be needed for a trip to the UK. The UK has its own similar program called ETA but at present it's only in use for certain countries in the Middle East. Eventually US citizens will need it, but the effective date has not yet been announced.

More likely a race to see which is implemented last. And that assumes they eventually get implemented.
