*summer* Posted March 2 #1 Share Posted March 2 Are pools heated on Regal for summer UK sailings?
satxdiver Posted March 2 #2 Share Posted March 2 I have never seen a heated pool on any Princess ship so far. They rely on the sun to heat their pools. I will be watching this thread to see if anyone can offer better response.

Elevatorman Posted March 3 #6 Share Posted March 3 Heated pools multiply bacteria, so no it’s a health hazard.

Most ships have some form of heating or even hot pools. Celebrity, Carnival and even Princess.

Wishing on a star Posted April 3 #9 Share Posted April 3 (edited) Yes, some pools might be 'heated'. I would suspect covered 'indoor' pools on ships where these are available. (none on the Regal) Know that this will be what Princess calls 'heated'. We last sailed REGAL, and it was January... Even though the weather was reasonable warm for the first 2-3 days, the pools were chilly! (cooler weather at Fort Lauderdale than further south...) August should be the warmest month... Maybe that will help. Edited April 3 by Wishing on a star
Rare flying boat Posted April 4 #10 Share Posted April 4 Don't know about the Regal in August but last November on the Sky out of Southampton the Retreat pool was heated, not sure about the other pools.
chengkp75 Posted April 4 #11 Share Posted April 4 (edited) While heating a pool is not a health hazard, most ships only heat pools to about 75*F (24*C), unless they are intended to be a heated (therapy) pool. Edited April 4 by chengkp75
