Rare Anoynmous Phoenix Posted March 8 #1 Share Posted March 8 We are doing a Tokyo round trip that calls in Busan. What paperwork was required please? Entry for Korea before arriving at Busan? Re-entry for Japan after leaving Busan? Face to face for either? If there was paperwork is anyone able to scan and upload here? Thank you A P
Rare Rick&Jeannie Posted March 9 #2 Share Posted March 9 You *might* have better luck asking on a current roll call....

The Busan call may be required to meet Japan's cabotage laws similar to PVSA for United States. Edited March 9 by d9704011
Rare Seas2mountains Posted March 9 #7 Share Posted March 9 Here is a great resource to use to find out if Visas are required. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/international-travel/International-Travel-Country-Information-Pages.html
tubeamps Posted March 9 #8 Share Posted March 9 We were on a Regent cruise r/t Tokyo last November that included Busan as a port. Before getting off the ship Korean officials set up in the MDR and everyone had face to face passport check, stamp, then free to get off. Returning to ship another passport face to face check before boarding. we had no forms to fill out. Hope this helps.
tubeamps Posted March 9 #9 Share Posted March 9 I should add, at first Japanese port after Busan everyone had to clear Japanese customs/immigration before leaving the ship.

Thank you, This is very helpful information. I am on the same sailing as AP had similar questions about stopping in and returning from Busan SK. Do you have any recommendations for a day in Busan ? I believe DW is interested in visiting a local market.
tubeamps Posted March 9 #11 Share Posted March 9 We used a Regent provided shore excursion which entailed a short bus to a local auditorium for a traditional Korean music and dance presentation. Then they drove us to the local and large fish market.
Rare Anoynmous Phoenix Posted March 9 Author #12 Share Posted March 9 @tubeamps Thank you; that was what I was looking for. Did they do the FtFs with specific times for each deck? A P
Rare Anoynmous Phoenix Posted March 9 Author #13 Share Posted March 9 @mugtech I never asked!!! Except for bookings my PCC is about as much use as T on a B. He cannot even tell me if the port is Sendai or Ishinomaki.
tubeamps Posted March 9 #14 Share Posted March 9 Don’t know what FtF is, but the Regent Explorer only has 700 passengers so no deck by deck anything.
