Since we are doing B2B we wanted to have sushi for lunch on embarkation day on the Discovery Princess. Does anyone know if the Ocean Terrace is open for lunch on Embarkation day?

We were just on Discovery and I saw people eating there at lunchtime.

They waive the dress code for day 1 lunch in the MDR.

Only for day one? Do I have to wear long pants to eat lunch in the MDR on other days?

I seriously doubt it especially since all the ships we've been on in the last few years haven't enforced the shorts rule even at dinner time.

Guest Snaxmuppet

Probably not although in the evening the suggested attire is smart casual.

They don't waive the dress code completely for embarkation lunch in the MDR. You need to wear shoes, and I don't think a wet bathing suit would be acceptable.

People also don't expect as much for dinner on the first night, since many people will not have their luggage delivered to their cabins before dinner.

Long pants have never been a requirement for the DR at breakfast and lunch.

Yes, I know. Merely pointing it out to @Mark_K they were asking if they had to wear long pants at lunch in the dining room.
