nhraformula00 Posted March 26 #1 Share Posted March 26 We have an October cruise coming up and are staying Pre Cruise at the Yotel. Looking for recommendation on a Post cruise hotel for 1 day. Have not cruised out of Miami in over 12 years and have stayed at the Intercontinental and Holiday Inn in the past. Just looking for suggestions on what you like and ones you have not liked. Not concerned on price. Thank you.
Ashland Posted March 26 #2 Share Posted March 26 We just recently used Hampton Inn Suites Blue Lagoon. Shuttle service and the hotel was a good location for us right across the street from a Publix Market, several restaurants, CVS and shopping.

nhraformula00 Posted March 27 Author #4 Share Posted March 27 Just wanting to hear from others what they liked and did not like. Tired of reading reviews. Looking for good suggestions firsthand, good or bad. Have not been out of Miami in about 12 years. Nothing special, just what was clean, had a good time there, ect. Post up!!!!!! LuCruise Posted March 27 #5 Share Posted March 27 We like Hampton Inn Brickell. The hotel is clean with good breakfast and area is nice. It's near the Metro Mover to get around, had Publix around for last minute things, and has great restaurants in the area. For recent cruises however, it's been too pricey for us. We just booked Homewood Suites in similar area as we like Brickell .
Rare wolft927 Posted March 27 #6 Share Posted March 27 So Pre Cruise we typically would stay across from the Biscayne Marketplace, last time was at YVE. We are trying something different this time and decided on the Hilton Miami airport blue lagoon. We wanted a relaxing pre cruise stay instead of the busy streets of downtown Miami. Not to mention was able to get a 1 bedroom suite with large screened in balcony for less then a basic room downtown. We drive in so parking is always a factor and parking rates downtown Miami are anywhere from $40 to $60 per night.
George C Posted March 27 #7 Share Posted March 27 We always stay at doubletree in biscayne, love waking up and seeing our ship from the balcony. Hotel shares huge lobby with marriot, which has several restaurants, bars and stores , even a liquor store. Was there two weeks ago and will be back in November.
Rare Host CJSKIDS Posted March 27 #8 Share Posted March 27 Since it's post cruise and you will be off the ship early, I would suggest the Brickell area. There are plenty of things to do, things to walk to and lots of restaurants. It's close to the port as you know and a short ride to the airport. I wouldn't suggest staying near the airport because there is nothing to do out there. Hampton inn Brickell is a great hotel as others have suggested and there are plenty of others in the immediate area that are also fantastic. Hotels that have great pools as well. It will all depend on what price point you want to stay at since you can go from the prices of the Mandarin Oriental and Four Seasons to much lower.
