A control issue with one of the pods, but yes, 18 knots would confirm both pods are fully back in service. There should be a few different turns to test that as well, so lets hope she doesn't just go round in circles. Lovely weather for it!
Rare arxcards Posted April 4 #27 Share Posted April 4 As far as I can tell, she didn't exceed 10 knots, but maybe that was the plan anyway.
Chiliburn Posted April 4 #28 Share Posted April 4 @arxcards Maybe it’s a publicity stunt for the release of the 25-26 season.
Rare mr walker Posted April 5 #29 Share Posted April 5 Getting that close to Sydney, and turning back, is almost like teasing the passengers hoping to board now on Sunday 😮 Hope all goes well.
Rare arxcards Posted April 6 #30 Share Posted April 6 Bang-on her PLAN E departure time, Brilliance of the Seas is backing out of her Newcastle berth. Fingers crossed for those still aboard tomorrow & beyond.

She only needs 4hrs max to get to Sydney, so I am keen to see if they are going to do some maneuvers overnight. Already at 13 knots.

Rare arxcards Posted April 6 #36 Share Posted April 6 The speed does confirm both pods are working. It may not need a fancy turn if they know that the control issue has been resolved. If I didn't know better, I reckon she will be going into OPT tonight. She is in the shipping lane and will be off Sydney Heads in time to collect a pilot off one of the departing ships.

Rare arxcards Posted April 6 #38 Share Posted April 6 In the end, she has kept south past Sydney Heads. I hope she comes back for her passengers before heading to Hobart.
