Ours have 4 microscopic diamonds.🤪 At least I think they’re diamonds, so small I can hardly see them. Now they’re plastic?

Not even Zircon. Glass chip. 😂 The pin itself isn't plastic.

It wasn't that long ago....we got to use the CL without being in suites for about 1.5 years before being labeled personna non grata. Now we just book suites if suite access is what we want.

Plus this opened us up to exploring other lines. Would have made 700+ points on RCL already but we choose to cruise MSC in their Yacht Club also. For our europe trip we are on MSC for 2 voyages in the Med before boarding explorer for a TA and B4B. 5 years ago it would have been all RCL. Cruise with who we want and we enjoy what perks RCL throws our way. But we are not chasing status by cruising with RCL.

Loyalty rewards is just a cherry for our cruising.

Totally agree.  Our exploring has brought us to Viking.   We are very much enjoying that line.  🙂

More importantly the 5 CAS daily drinks. 🍻

Cheers to that!

We’re most looking forward to the drinks, BOGO specialties, & extra internet. We share one internet account & don’t mind skipping night one after sailaway so 4 free days will cover most of a 7N cruise.

Upon taking out my pin which has never come off the card it came in, and looking at it with a microscope (not really), it appears there 6 tiny diamonds! I could be wrong, I could only see little sparkles when I put it in the light 🤪

Well now thanks for bursting THAT bubble of thinking Royal would actually spring for microscopic diamond chips 😁🤪

Bucky has his on his stuffed "pet" Dolphin that he takes with him on cruises.  He calls her "Diamond Dolly" the Dolphin.  😄   I am not sure what happened to mine.  🤔

With us...the six drinks per person per day, and the 3 bottles of wine they send to our cabin...yikes.  Any more than that, and I should be looking up the next AA chapter meeting.  😄 😄

Sums up how we feel pretty much.

Getting to D+ really wasn’t that much of a stretch for us. We enjoyed cruising.  Took cruises and then in no time at all, or so it seems, we turned D+

Of course travel budgets vary from one person to the next and Yes, cruise fares were a bit easier on the wallet “back then.”

We cruise other lines and really, truly don’t appreciate the “Amusement Park of the Seas” direction RCL has taken over the last, what, ten years or so.

But the D+ perks are really nice.

Didn't know they even did this.  Not sure why you would want one though.

Seriously?

How long you have been sailing with RCI?

Not sure how it is now, but even recently pins were able from Gold level.

Asking why somebody wants it is a very strange question. People want various things.

Do you ask why people want pizza, internet, drinks, shows etc ?

I drink wine between cruises. 🙂

We quit hard liquor between cruises, but I still drink this wine.

We will become Diamond Plus on our next cruise in August, curious to know are they still doing lapel pins and is there one one for Diamond Plus?

Just wait until you get the whole set!

On the recent benefit chart, the pins are still listed for Diamond and above.

We got an Emerald pin several years ago! I guess they discontinued them.

You should try the friendly road and encourage them to put in on Ebay for auction.  You could very well be the only bidder...what a deal.

Is this an attempt at humor? Weak.

Why would anyone bid on other people pin?

Just like on other person’s crystal block?

Just because you have no use for them or are not interested … doesn’t mean other people shouldn’t. People collect them as memories. Personal memories.

If you are not interested you shouldn’t make a big deal out of it. Just return it to C&A concierge, they will give to the next person 🙂

Not at all.  If ya just wanna pay postage, you're welcome to ours.  They are indeed a big deal to some, as is readily displayed onboard.  Perhaps I offended you w/ the 'be friendly' comment?  If so, I apologize....just continue on as normal.

It might be worth a few $ on eBay.

The old adage, "If you've got it, flaunt it."

This expression originates in the 1967 movie The Producers, written and directed by Mel Brooks. The phrase was shouted out the window by Max Bialystock (played by Zero Mostel): "That's it, baby, when you've got it, flaunt it! Flaunt it!"

"That's Entertainment" (1974).
