weregoingcruising Posted May 19 #1 Share Posted May 19 What is the charge for laundry service on Princess ships?
negn Posted May 19 #2 Share Posted May 19 The laundry is $3 for wash and dry and $1.50 for detergent. You use your medallion to get tokens for machines. Quicker and cheaper then sending it out

It was charged to our room. We had our own detergent, so don’t know the price of that.
skynight Posted May 19 #4 Share Posted May 19 Above posts reference self laundry. If you are thinking about laundry service the charge is by the piece, T shirts one price, underwear another price, dress shirts, shorts and such all have their own costs. From experience a bag of normal mixed laundry will be somewhere in the $45 to $55 range. Princess does not have bag pricing.

IndyKid Posted May 20 #6 Share Posted May 20 I told the wife that she could pack a smaller suitcase and use the self-serve laundry room on our deck, with the added bonus that she could use Ocean Now and get drinks delivered to her there. You won't get that kind of treatment back here in Indiana! 1

Crown Cruiser Posted May 20 #8 Share Posted May 20 I bring Tide Pods and some Bounce sheets in a zip loc and then just pay for the washer/dryers.

Teechur Posted May 20 #10 Share Posted May 20 Self-service laundry rooms are one of the main reasons we stick with Princess. If they ever remove them, we will probably resume cruising with other lines.
voljeep Posted May 20 #11 Share Posted May 20 Pro Tip - If you know you will be using the washing machine and dryer - get your tokens ahead of time. Never know when the token machines may be down or out
PR-Texas Posted May 20 #12 Share Posted May 20 We're doing a CruiseTour with 6 days in Australia followed by a 14 day cruise around NZ. I had already planned to pack less and use the self serve laundry on one of the sea days between Sydney and NZ. I'll probably also do at least one load on the sea days returning to Sydney. It will be nice to get back to Texas with clean clothes.

On boot up could see it's Windows.
moviegal Posted May 20 #14 Share Posted May 20 I love packing light AND doing laundry (for real), so I even go so far as to book cabins by the laundry rooms. Makes it SO easy.
Candycane10 Posted May 20 #15 Share Posted May 20 Just off the Discovery last Saturday. Laundry was still free and they also had some little boxes of detergent for our use.
