jabrown40 Posted May 24 #1 Share Posted May 24 Do concierge passengers get priority disembarkation at each port, or just the last day leaving the ship? Thanks!
jelayne Posted May 24 #2 Share Posted May 24 No priority for getting off in port. If the ship is docked getting off is normally a very quick process. If the ship is tendering passengers then ships excursions get off first. Often they have dedicated tenders for the ships excursions. The priority is for Suite guests, Zeneth Captains Club members then there is priority for Elite and above Captains Club members. As for leaving the ship the last day the first off are those that choose to do walk off carrying their own luggage. After that you get off when your luggage tag number is called which is when luggage will be in the terminal. The lowest tag numbers go to Suite guests. With rare exception everyone is off by 9-9:15. I am not challenging this, but In our experience the sequence of disembarkation by tag number is not generally enforced, other than with self disembarkation and first tag numbers, and our luggage has always been in the terminal awaiting us regardless of when we disembarked. Unless the ship is delayed getting into port, docking is usually completed a few hours prior to first disembarkation and luggage begins to be removed immediately. By the time self disembarkation is completed the luggage removal is typically also completed. We have never had to wait based on tag number for our luggage to arrive. Just our experience. jelayne Posted May 24 #4 Share Posted May 24 No I agree it isn’t enforced, that would just slow down the process if you had to show a luggage tag number to exit the ship. We have seen all luggage off very early and also many times when we have had tag 2 -5 and entered the luggage area when most luggage wasn’t there yet. Either way it seems to work well. Rare 1025cruise Posted May 24 #5 Share Posted May 24 All concierge gives you is a place to wait. You still need to wait for your number to be called.

Rare cruisestitch Posted May 24 #7 Share Posted May 24 In Rotterdam, just just one example, the terminal is very small and the luggage is put out in tag order. So they may let YOU off the ship before your number is called, but your luggage would not be waiting for you.

Are you saying that Rotterdam's terminal area is too small to handle all the luggage at once and therefore set out by tag number in cycle? If so, that would seem to be a somewhat unique terminal, but would then make sense to disembark in queue by tag number.
Rare cruisestitch Posted May 24 #9 Share Posted May 24 (edited) Yes, it was too small to put out all the luggage at once . passengers who had higher tag numbers who went off with the lower number people found themselves standing in the terminal, waiting for their luggage to be offloaded. The announcements made it clear that they should wait for their tag number to be called because of the size of the luggage collection area, but some people went off early anyway, and found themselves standing around waiting for their luggage to be made available Edited May 24 by cruisestitch
