Boston in a day

I see Fenway Park does tours and we were thinking about going there. From the port what is the easiest way for 7 people to get there?

The easiest way would be to split the group into 2 Ubers (I think UberXL is only up to 6 passengers).

Thank you!  That was the information I was getting from the maps and wanted to be certain since we have never traveled to Boston.  Looking forward to our 2 days of touring the area before the cruise departs!

Barb

The other good thing, the Silver Line is free if you board at the airport.

... If you want to Uber walk around the Boston Design Center to DryDock Ave. look for street numbers 23 or 25 and call the Uber from there...

Should we arrange to have Uber (or Lyft???) pick us up on DryDock Ave, not Black Falcon Ave?

Pick up at 23 or 25 DryDock Ave. It is still 2-way there so the Uber or Lyft driver can make a u-turn. Black Falcon Ave is one way and it is chaos with everyone waiting for the cruise shuttle bus, tour buses, and other ride shares. If you can walk around the big white building do so.

Thank you for that info

Due to prohibitive hotel costs, i plan to spend just one day in Boston before cruise.what would you recommend as highlights? Would you recommend hop on hop off bus%?

Yes, the Ho Ho bus is a good option.  If you will have the time, go to North Station and take the commuter rail to Rockport.  It is a beautiful seaside town on the North Shore, and a beautiful train ride, once you pass Salem.

Went to college in Beverly (Endicott) and yes, it’s a gorgeous area.
