Is This Considered a Back to Back?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

DH and I will be on Allure in Oct for a quick 4-day trip from Miami. Since we're going to be there anyway, we decided to book a 3-day trip before that on Msc . So my question for you all is does this count as a b-t-b since it's two different lines? We weren't sure if 'technically' to call it that it should be the same line. We've never done two in a row so we're having fun with saying 'oh we're doing a b-t-b " 🤣

(it really is the little things isn't it that make us smile)

Thanks

To me: side to side, if the first ends on the same day as the second begins. (different ships)

Back to Back or Consecutive Cruises, if on the same ship.

We used to call cruises that Celebrity "gave" us a hotel room for the intervening night between FLL and MIA --- Back to Back.

A back to back is simply consecutive cruises on the same ship.

A side to side is just cruiser lingo for consecutive cruises on different ships. It's not at all any kind of official term.

I don't think back-to-back is an official term either, is it? I believe the cruiselines all use the term consecutive cruises.
