Rare Ferry_Watcher Posted June 22 #2 Share Posted June 22 At Pier 91 Seattle - Fridays have the most passengers disembarking - close to 8K (2 ships) Saturday & Sundays have 5.5K - 6K passengers (2 ships) Mondays almost 5K, Tuesdays & Thursdays have close to 2.6K passengers disembarking.(1 ship each day) Earlier in the disembarking process is usually quicker to grab a taxi. Longer lines can be between 8 -9 AM. The taxi line is on the right side of the drive area once you exit the terminal. Dan G Posted June 25 #4 Share Posted June 25 just a FYI as I live in Seattle and there was a news report about lots of 'illegal' ubers and car services offering rides from cruise docks. Ubers and towncars ALL need to be prearranged and ubers normally come in to pick you up. Lots of illegal cars and 'ubers' ask you if you want a ride or say they are a taxi but then they dramatically raise the fare once you get to Seatac and hold your luggage hostage till you pay up. Too hard to enforce laws but do be careful. Best to prearrange a transfer and if you call for an uber make sure its the car you ordered. All taxis are directed to a staging lot nearby the Terminal 91 Building before they are allowed to approach Pier 91. They are held there by the transportation staff until there is enough space for them in the taxi lane - then they are allowed to proceed to the pier. When your Uber/Lyft driver texts you to say they have arrived, they actually will give you a numbered parking slot that they are waiting in (#1- #34). With all these safeguards in use, you should easily and confidentially get into your actual ordered Uber/Lyft. What passengers do need to be aware of are the drivers in the large black SUV's that are soliciting passengers standing in the driveway area of Pier 91. These drivers will call out to passengers who are waiting for their already ordered Town Car or Livery Driver, or are walking to the Uber/Lyft pick-up lot. Some passengers will accept a low $ offer of a ride to the airport just because the offer is made by a well dressed individual driving a newer big SUV that can leave for the airport immediately. Accept at your own risk. There is a designated pickup area you follow signs to from the terminal and they update you as to what parking spot they pull into. Super easy. Car service drivers are allowed to drop off and pick up at the terminal. Uber and Lyft have a dedicated area about a 7-10 walk from the terminal.
