This was on NCL, but I bought a beautiful Effy chocolate diamond ring a couple of years ago and they sized it for me right onboard. I only had to wait two days while it was being sized before I could pick it up. I love that ring!

Good Spirits cocktail show was busy tonight!

 

New-to-me libation Vanilla Sky is now in my rotation of favourite drinks. Oh, it’s yummy! The bartender placed it in front of me, made a drink for someone else, turned back to me and said, “you drank it already?”

 

Yes. Yes I did.

I checked out the MDR dinner menu then checked out the buffet.

I am going to need a thesaurus to start describing the food on this ship. I keep saying wonderful, amazing, delicious and incredible. Tonight all those adjectives and more apply. The rich coconut yellow curry smelled heavenly and was the perfect topping over the delicately seasoned quinoa and vegetables from the Buddha bowl. It isn’t easy to find vegetarian Thai food because fish sauce or oyster sauce are often incorporated even in dishes that are advertised as vegetarian. This was a real treat for me and I savoured every delectable bite. I could have eaten a whole bowl of the curry!

When I take photos in Horizon Court I always do so at a quiet time and I always step out of the way when people are selecting their food. I am fast and discreet and never interfere with anybody.

 

Tonight as I was photographing this item

 

an old, old man came and full on side-shoved me. I didn’t budge so he shoved me again. He said “what are you doing? We eat here!” He didn’t even have a plate! He just wanted to be annoyed with me.

 

I told him not to touch me ever again and not to shove me. His wife stood there looking horrified.

 

Disgusting behaviour.

Moving on to something sweeter here are tonight’s desserts. In addition to the ones shown there was a baked cherry pudding with vanilla sauce.

I didn’t have dessert but looking at these pictures I might go have a cookie at 10:00pm.

I wouldn't have called your behavior disgusting, but maybe the "old,old" man was grazing and wanted to see what all was available?

I love how they keep the scones warm by nestling them into a basket with a napkin

Today we enjoyed raspberry jam instead of strawberry.

 

 

Everything went well until I accidentally ate a raisin. Blech.

Pineapple drink called anything special? I don't like orange juice but love pineapple.

He was just plain rude, sorry you were subjected to this. Your so good at this now I can see myself trying some of the items you have had hope menu is close on the Grand in a couple months. You make everything interesting, thanks.

After dinner I enjoyed Duo Encanto (they did a whole set of ABBA which was delightful) then I spent the rest of the evening at the Lotus Pool and Lotus Spa.

 

First I swam, then I hot tubbed then I enjoyed the thermal suite. I sampled all the steam rooms then cozied up in a hot ceramic lounger and read.  

 

 

 

My solution to disliking the small shower with the full frontal flap-against-the-body shower curtain is to shower in the spa. 
 

Thankfully I was able to fully shave my legs tonight since I had a shower where bending over was actually possible and I will not be mistaken for an Icelandic troll tomorrow on the streets of Reykjavik. 
 

I was hoping there would be a spa pampering station with a hair dryer so I could avoid using the hair-sucking-dryer that comes with the cabin. There wasn’t, so I used the sauna after showering and that did the job.  
 

Such a nice sauna!

 

 

Someone has a screw loose on this ship.

The sauna is free and is located in the changing room slightly aft of the Lotus pool. 

 

The steam rooms are inside the thermal spa and are not free.

My wife is generally ready to hit the cabin for bed or possibly already there at 10:00 PM. (She used to stay up later but not so much these days on the ship.) If she needs a cookie at that time she goes to "the cookie drawer" where the cookies are stashed that I've brought her. There have been times when she just gave me the "Puss and Boots eyes" from the animated movies and said, "I wish I had a cookie" and I know to head to the buffet to bring back a plate of them.
