Haven Gateway verses the Haven Joy

We're looking to book our 2nd trip.  Our first was on the Joy in the 2 bedroon Haven courtyard, and we had a very enjoyable time.   The itinerary (Aug - Canada) we're looking into is on the Gateway.   From the pictures, the Haven space seems smaller on the Gateway but wanted to get some first hand perspectives from those who cruised on both ships and if there was any difference worth noting. Did you feel the smaller space created a lesser experience/enjoyment?  Was there any issues with waits dining in the Haven restaurant? anything else?

Thanks in advance.

Haven Courtyard:

No roof on Getaway

Retractable roof on Joy

Haven side balconies within the complex:

Getaway = not deep at all

Joy has larger and much larger balconies (depending on whether deck 18 or deck 17)

Haven sundeck:

Getaway has starboard corner in the front

Joy has port side corner in the front, middle in the front, and starboard side corner in the front

Haven hot-tubs:

Getaway has 2 hot-tubs in the courtyard

Joy has 1 hot-tub in the courtyard and 2 hot-tubs on the sundeck

Front-facing Observation Lounge:

Getaway doesn't have one

Joy has one for Haven guests and another one for all guests

Haven restaurant:

Getaway has overflow seating in the courtyard (near the pool)

Joy has overflow seating aft of the restaurant overlooking the main sundeck

You are correct, the Getaway Haven is much smaller than the Breakaway Plus category of ships.  Everything is smaller.  No water features like hot tubs on the Haven sundeck either.  However there are hot tubs by the Haven pool.

I have sailed the Haven on both category of ships and going from Breakaway Plus to Breakaway class in the Haven is 2 big steps backwards IMHO.   I think they realized they screwed things up in the Haven on the Breakaway class because they added an outdoor seating area in the Haven restaurant and added water features on the Haven sundeck on the next class.  Not to mention everything else got bigger.  If I wanted to sail the Haven on a ship, the Getaway/Breakaway would be my last pick.
